The Ashes 2025/26 live streams are as big as Test cricket gets. Beginning 148 years ago, Australia vs England is the sport's oldest and fiercest rivalry with the Aussies retaining the urn in 2023 after a 2-2 draw by dint of their 4-0 win in their last home series. Pat Cummins and Ben Stokes will lead their respective sides with relentless passion, though Cummins misses the 1st Test in Perth through injury, in a contest that represent the apex of elite cricket.

Australia love nothing more than beating England at any sport, but cricket has an even bigger frisson to it. The pride at wearing the famous Baggy Green and walloping the visiting Poms has been a regular feeling, with only one series defeat by the old enemy Down Under since the mid-1980s. They have the pace attack to do real damage, but both captain Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood miss the opening Test in Perth, meaning and Brendan Doggett (on debut) will come in. Boland's bowling average sits at a ludicrous 16, but suffered a bit of tap from England in the 2023 series. Marnus Labuschagne will bat at No3 after coming back into form in domestic cricket after being dropped for the recent series with India, while Steve Smith – skipper in Cummins' absence – will be the prize wicket for England.

Beating the Aussies in their own backyard has been England's black beast for some time. Joe Root has been in sublime form since resigning the captaincy to Stokes three years ago, but there remains one box to tick in the batter's stunning career – a Test century Down Under. Root is the wicket the Aussies covet more than any other, his consistency provides the serenity around which the Bazball crash, bang, wallop kicks off. That's certainly the tone to be set by opening pair Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, with Stokes a fine counterattacker lower down the order. Jofra Archer is fit, as is fellow pace merchant Mark Wood after a hamstring scare, as England seek to make use of the local bouncy wickets. There is a feeling, though, that with only one tour match against the Lions, they're a little underdone.
