Germany, however, have the strength in depth to try to force the game away from Şengün and Osmani, with Dennis Schroder and Franz Wagner now firmly established as one of international basketball's deadliest duos. They've also got big-game experience, having won the World Cup in 2023 before a 4th-place finish at Paris 2024. In their history Turkiye have contested two finals — EuroBasket in 2001 and the World Cup in 2010 — and lost them both.
