Prime Video top 10 shows — here’s the 3 I’m binge-watching this week (Dec. 10-14)
Prime Video’s top 10 shuffles around almost every week, sometimes because the platform drops new episodes, other times because it adds something totally fresh. One day a new release can blow up overnight while long-running favorites like “Fallout” or “The Summer I Turned Pretty” cling to their spots without budging. It’s a solid snapshot of what everyone’s streaming right now, even if a few titles are riding the trend wave more than genuine quality.
I sifted through the rankings myself and pulled out the three that are actually worth adding to your Prime Video watchlist this week. The list includes a gripping crime thriller starring Jeremy Renner, a gritty western drama for anyone who loves “Yellowstone,” and a new true crime documentary.
This list is based on the Prime Video top 10 U.S shows as of Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Best shows in the Prime Video top 10
‘Mayor of Kingstown’
Anyone who’s a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s work will be happy to see that two of his shows made the list, and the first is “Mayor of Kingstown.” The crime thriller, now in its fourth season on Paramount Plus, is a great pick if you’re after something dark and intense. It’s gritty, brutal at times, and isn’t shy about throwing a few shocking twists at you right from the start.
“Mayor of Kingstown” takes place in a bleak, prison-dependent town in Michigan where incarceration is the main business. The story revolves around the McLusky family, a powerful clan that works as unofficial middlemen. After his older brother’s violent death, the reins fall to Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner), a former inmate turned the town’s de facto “mayor.” Mike reluctantly steps into the role, using his deep knowledge of both sides — inside prison walls and on the outside streets — to broker uneasy deals and maintain peace.

‘Landman’
The next Sheridan show worth watching is “Landman.” Its first season is now streaming on Prime Video, and it has plenty of the same tension and compelling drama found in his other series, like “Yellowstone,” “Tulsa King,” and “1923.” If you’ve blown through any of those and want another binge-worthy series packed with compelling characters and messy drama, this one deserves a spot on your watchlist.

Set in the oil-boom towns of West Texas, the show follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), a landman working for a major oil company, as he tries to guide the business through a high-stakes energy surge. The story digs into the Norris family — Tommy, his ex-wife, their kids, and his close professional circle as they operate within dangerous field operations and the chaos of their personal lives.

‘Murder in Mind’
If you’re into true crime documentaries, “Murder in Mind” is a new series worth checking out. Each episode examines real cases, walking you through the chain of events and choices that led to the crime. Packed with plenty of investigative detail, interesting psychological facts, and real-world drama, it’s a series that leaves a lasting impression.
In “Murder in Mind,” each episode delves into real‑life murder cases, walking viewers through what investigators, experts, family and friends know about the crime and how the killer’s life led to that final moment. Through interviews, archival footage, and expert commentary from criminal psychologists, the series pieces together a detailed reconstruction of each crime.
