Hoping to cram in a Prime Video movie night this week? Like all the best streaming services, Amazon's streamer is home to a huge selection of top titles, and that ever-changing library is regularly bolstered with new shows and movies — but only a precious few manage to break into the Prime Video charts.
While glancing at the Prime Video top 10 movies list can give you an idea of what's captured most Prime members' attention in a given week, you can't necessarily rely on it for recommendations. After all, you can't guarantee that what's trending is necessarily worth watching. That's where I come in.
Best movies in Prime Video's top 10
'Sinners' (2025)
Do you even need me to tell you that "Sinners" is a good movie at this point? Chances are, you've already heard plenty of people shout about Ryan Coogler's gripping vampire horror/thriller, as it was easily one of the most talked-about and one of the best movies of last year.
The movie centers on two twin brothers, Smoke and Stack (both played by Michael B. Jordan), who leave their troubled lives behind and head back to their Mississippi hometown to open a juke joint... only to discover that there are truly terrible evils waiting on the doorstep to welcome them back.
If big-screen thrills are what you're after, this is the watch for you. If you've not seen "Sinners" yet, stop reading here, load up Prime Video, and give it a go — I'm confident you'll enjoy it.

'The Naked Gun' (2025)
"The Naked Gun" has regularly been the streamer's No. 1 watch since it debuted on the platform at the end of 2025 — and I can totally see why. I saw well over 100 movies throughout 2025, and this legacy sequel stands as one of my favorite films of last year. If you're looking for laughs, I cannot recommend it enough; there's a reason I branded "The Naked Gun" the funniest movie of 2025.
If you've not heard of it before, Akiva Schaffer's "The Naked Gun" is a legacy sequel to the iconic comedy franchise featuring Leslie Nielsen. This 2025 follow-up sees Frank Drebin's son, Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson), following in his father's footsteps. He's also been spending his days cracking cases for Police Squad, but lands himself in hot water with the department while thwarting a bank heist. He subsequently finds himself tangled up with an enigmatic ally (Pamela Anderson) and deployed to a new case that has potentially deadly implications for the future of Police Squad... and the world.

'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'
There are two smash-hit video game adaptations in Prime Video's streaming charts right now, but in my eyes, only one of them is worth making time for, and that's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie."
This animated adventure from Nintendo and Illumination hit the big screen back in 2023 and has been among Prime Video's most popular movies for a long time now. It follows Brooklyn-based plumbers Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) on an adventure across the Mushroom Kingdom after the pair slip down a Warp Pipe. Separated from his brother during the journey, Mario scrambles to find his missing, green-capped pal and ends up crossing paths with Toads, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), and the villainous Bowser (Jack Black) in the process.
It's a fun-filled family caper that should keep video game fans of all ages entertained if you're looking for a family move. Plus, with "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" coming up in just a couple of months time, now's as good a time as any to get caught up.
