Streaming fatigue is real and we're all feeling it at this point. All that time spend scrolling through what's trending is bound to wear us down eventually. If you’re tired of the same recycled tropes and Hallmark-style endings, you're in luck, because Paramount+ has quietly assembled a powerhouse of modern romances to add to your watchlist this weekend.
We’re talking about one of the most anticipated Colleen Hoover adaptation of last year, a star-studded remake of a queer cinema classic, and a seasons-of-love journey led by two of Hollywood’s biggest Gen Z icons. Whether you’re in the mood for a good ugly cry that destroys you emotionally, a chaotic fake-marriage comedy, or a nostalgic slow-burn that feels like a warm hug, these three films prove that there's still plenty of reason to return to what's usually considered a tried-and-true genre.
So grab your popcorn (and a box of tissues)—here are the three must-watch romances streaming on Paramount+ right now.

I was inspired to make this list after seeing "Regretting You" is still holding strong in the Paramount+ top 10 after arriving on the platform earlier this month. Based on the 2019 bestseller by Colleen Hoover, it's a touching dual-timeline romance that explores the heart-wrenching reality of family secrets. Director Josh Boone of "The Fault in Our Stars" fame perfectly captures Hoover's signature heart-shattering style, making this one of the few book-to-screen adaptations I actually recommend to people. Allison Williams stars as Morgan, a mother already struggling to relate to her 17-year-old daughter Clara (Mckenna Grace) when their family is shattered by a car accident that kills her sister and partner. As Morgan struggles to shield her daughter from the shocking betrayal she uncovers, Clara rebels by falling for the one boy she’s forbidden to see. Be sure to have some tissues handy for this one.

'The Wedding Banquet' (2025)
If you think you’ve seen every fake dating trope in the book, this electric 2025 reimagining of Ang Lee’s classic rom-com is for you. Some great performances by Lily Gladstone ("Killers of the Flower Moon") and the brilliantly funny Bowen Yang (SNL) are what really elevates "The Wedding Banquet" beyond just a simple remake. Angela (Kelly Marie Tran) and her partner Lee (Gladstone) have hit a wall after pouring money into unsuccessful fertility treatments. Meanwhile, their friend Min (Han Gi-chan) is racing against the clock as his student visa nears expiration. To kill two birds with one stone, Angela agrees to marry Min so he can secure a green card, with the understanding that he’ll help cover the cost of Lee’s IVF. But the arrangement quickly gets messy when Min’s traditional grandmother (Youn Yuh-jung) arrives from Korea and demands an extravagant wedding. The result is a comedy of errors and unexpectedly touching moments.

'Winter Spring Summer or Fall' (2025)
Miss the electric chemistry between Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White in "Wednesday"? Paramount+ has the perfect remedy. In a far cry from the gothic shadows of Nevermore Academy, the duo reunites for a grounded, "Before Sunrise"-style romance that encapsulates the bittersweet magic of senior year. Ortega stars as Remi, an overachieving student with a 20-year plan that leads straight to Harvard, who's on a collision course with the slacker of her dreams, Barnes (Hynes White). Told across four transformative days—one in each season—the story follows their unlikely connection as they fall in love while staring down the ticking clock of graduation. "Winter Spring Summer or Fall" is the ultimate comfort watch for anyone who loves a good slow-burn.
