Paramount Plus is finally getting the best sports-watching feature available for streaming: multiview. Like similar versions from other streamers, Paramount will let you watch up to four live games at the same time.

Initially, the feature will only be available for UEFA Champions League fixtures starting on September 16 via CBS Sports. The international league will kick off with a three-day opening week.

Multiview will also be available for the Europa League and Europa Conference League matches.

According to the Paramount Plus press release, you'll be able to use multiview on both the browser and app versions of the streamer. So you'll be able to build your own "custom matchday experience."

According to Paramount Skydance, the multiview feature will expand to more entertainment and news offerings in the coming months, but there does not appear to be an exact launch date for expansion.

Paramount Plus growing

In July, Paramount Global was officially acquired by Skydance Entertainment after the merger was approved by the FCC following several controversial concessions by Paramount. This was after killing the Showtime brand when the entertainment studio renamed Paramount Plus with Showtime as Paramount Plus Premium.

Soon after the acquisition, Paramount quickly began throwing money around, acquiring all 26 seasons of South Park and ending the pay-per-view era of UFC when it paid for the U.S. rights to stream the MMA company's fights.

Where other streamers are getting more expensive, Paramount appears to be trying to attract subscribers with big acquisitions and feature expansions.
