If you're looking to find what new movies and shows Netflix is adding this week, I've got you covered. The streaming service is adding 19 new movies and shows this week, and there are quite a few titles worth adding to your watchlist.

The biggest name, by far, is "Hamnet." This movie, while not a Netflix original, was a Best Picture contender earlier this year, so it's undeniably a must-watch.

But it's not the only title to add to your watchlist this week. Netflix's new adaptation of "Little House on the Prairie" arrives this week, as does "Love Is Blind: UK - After the Altar." The latter brings back several fan favorites from the past two seasons of the British reality dating show. Finally, don't forget to check out "Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea" if you love a documentary, or stream "Jeff Arcuri: Nice to Meet You" if stand-up comedy is more your style.

New on Netflix this week: Top picks

'Hamnet'

Genre: Historical fiction drama movie

What it's about: "Hamnet" is based on Maggie O'Farrell's novel of the same name, and it tells the (somewhat true) tale of Agnes (Jessie Buckley) and William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal). It starts with their budding relationship, then transitions to a story about how their son, Hamnet (Noah Jupe), influenced one of the greatest plays ever written: "Hamlet."

Why you should watch it: This movie will almost certainly make you cry. In my review of "Hamnet," I declared it a masterpiece that delivered one emotional hammer blow after another. I also predicted that Jessie Buckley would be a future Oscar winner, which was one of the easiest shots I've ever called.

'Little House on the Prairie'

Genre: Western historical drama series

What it's about: Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic book of the same name, this show follows the Ingalls family as they establish their home outside the developing town of Independence. That will require the family to overcome harsh conditions, including fever, wolves, and fire, as well as the presence of Osage natives already living on the land the Ingalls family was told they could take for themselves.

Why you should watch it: Fans of "Little House on the Prairie," or maybe even just those who have fond memories of reading it in school, will surely be looking forward to seeing this latest adaptation. But I'm most curious about how it handles the Osage Nation, as it seems the Netflix series will pay the native presence in the West far more attention than the book it's based on.

'Love is Blind: UK - After the Altar'

Genre: Reality dating series reunion special

What it's about: Season 3 of "Love Is Blind: UK" is fast approaching. So before it begins, the star couples of seasons 1 and 2 will return for a special reunion, "Love Is Blind: UK - After the Altar."

Why you should watch it: This reunion brings together more than just couples. It also reunites exes, enemies and a few fan-favorites across three episodes. If you love a messy post-season get-together of your favorite reality star couples, you won't want to miss this.

'Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea'

Genre: Documentary movie

What it's about: "Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea" recounts and reexamines the tale of the Costa Concordia cruise ship. The luxury cruise liner infamously capsized in 2012 and remains one of the worst cruise calamities in modern history.

Why you should watch it: The Costa Concordia was massive, carrying more than 4,000 people at the time it wrecked, 32 of whom died. Worst of all, it toppled because it struck a rock formation while performing a sail-by salute; a real unforced error by the ship's captain.

'Jeff Arcuri: Nice to Meet You'

Genre: Stand-up comedy special

What it's about: In "Jeff Arcuri: Nice to Meet You," the comedian tackles topics from marital pranks to urinal mind games and even his wife's battle with cancer. It was taped across five shows at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.

Why you should watch it: Known for being quick with a joke, comedian Jeff Arcuri finally gets his first hour-long comedy special on Netflix this week. If his brand of comedy is your thing, then this special is definitely a must-watch
