Inter Miami may only have been founded eight years ago, but they have quickly established themselves as the dominant force in the MLS. After winning their first MLS Cup title with a 3-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps, Inter Miami said goodbye to two of its best players as Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba announced their retirements. However, the club moved quickly to replace them, with left-back Sergio Reguilón and midfielder David Ayala both signing. They’ve also bolstered their squad with the arrivals of goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, defender Micael and forward Germán Berterame.

Therefore, it is no surprise that Javier Mascherano’s side are seen as the team to beat in 2026, especially with Lionel Messi showing no signs of winding down. Yet, there are a host of sides who will enter the season believing they can knock Inter Miami off their perch.

LAFC have a new manager in Marc dos Santos and there is a growing belief that he can return the club to past glories, especially with Son Heung-min and Denis Bouanga leading the attack. The Vancouver Whitecaps will also hope to go one step further after a strong showing in 2025, and will believe that the German legend Thomas Müller, who will play in his first full season, can prove the difference this time around.

It should be another hugely entertaining season, so here’s how to watch Major League Soccer 2026 from anywhere in the world.
