I review workout tech for a living and 3 of my favorite waterproof headphones are discounted for Black Friday
When I’m working out, I need waterproof headphones. That’s because my exercise regime could take me on a rainy run or to a sweaty session at the gym. So this Black Friday I’ve been on the lookout for the best waterproof heap-on-deal deals.
I've tested a number of pairs of the best workout headphones, and these three rank among my favorites. Whether you’re looking for over-ear headphones, bone conduction headphones, or in-ear buds, there is something on their list for everyone on any budget.
- JBL Endurance Race 2: was $89 now $49 @ Amazon
- SHOKZ OpenSwim Pro: was $179 now $124 @ Amazon
- H2O Audio RIPT Ultra: was $249 now $187 @ Amazon
The JBL Endurance Race 2 earbuds have reached their lowest ever price this Black Friday and are less than $50. They have a rating of IP68, meaning they are dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 meters. They are great value sports buds and offer a secure fit, ensuring comfort throughout your workouts. They have 48 hours of battery life with the charging case, which is totally impressive considering their budget price tag.
The Shokz OpenSwim Pro headphones offer a multi-sport solution for athletes who find themselves needing headphones to serve them in the rain and even in the pool. They are one of the best swimming headphones and have a battery life of nine hours, so they are the perfect addition to triathlon training. They offer Bluetooth and MP3 playback to listen to all of your favorite motivational tunes, and they have a comfortable and secure fit, so they won’t annoy you. They use bone conduction to deliver the sound to your ears, but still offer decent sound quality.
The H2O Audio RIPT Ultra headphones are completely sweatproof. That’s right, not an ounce of sweat is getting into these headphones, so you don’t need to worry about your sweat corroding the inner workings of the cans. They come with interchangeable silicone ear cups that can be cleaned after they get sweaty, and won’t damage the material used at all. They boast a whopping 50 hours of battery life and are comfortable to use for extended periods of time, like long runs and sessions at the gym. The ANC is also very effective if you want to use the headphones for focus at the office. Following their release earlier this year, this is the first time the headphones have been reduced, so this is a real bargain.
