This 65-inch Samsung OLED for $899 is one of the best TV deals I’ve seen all year

The biggest TV brands in the business are gearing up to launch their 2026 models in the coming weeks, and it’s still unclear how — if at all — the ongoing RAM shortage will affect the pricing of new TVs from certain manufacturers. This is one of the reasons why I’ve been recommending that folks upgrade to a new TV sooner than later.

Fortunately, many of the most popular TVs from 2025 are seeing massive discounts ahead of the release of new models. I track TV deals every day, and right now, one of the best deals on the block is sure to be a hit with anyone shopping for an OLED.

Today, the 65-inch Samsung S84F OLED is just $899 at Best Buy. That’s a full $1,100 off its regular price, and comparable to the discount we saw on this TV back during Best Buy’s Black Friday sales event.

Samsung's most affordable OLED TV may not be as much of a showstopper as the brand's flagship-level S95F, but it's still super affordable for a 65-inch OLED TV that just crashed back down to its Black Friday price. It also comes with a useful array of gaming enhancements and streaming features.

The S84F is an entry-level OLED, which means its picture isn't as punchy as the mid-range Samsung S90F and the flagship-level S95F OLED. Nevertheless, the S84F's self-emissive display is a massive advantage when it comes to picture quality.

The Samsung S84F offers all of the perks we've come to expect from OLED display technology, including deep, inky black levels, ultra-accommodating viewing angles and pixel-level dimming. It's not as bright and colorful as higher-end OLED TVs, but in most cases, I'd rather have a modest OLED display than a comparably priced LED TV.

Plus, the S84F offers many of the same bells and whistles you'll find on those higher-end Samsung TVs. It comes with a heaping helping of streaming- and gaming-related features, including support 4K gaming at 120Hz, the highest 4K spec for current-gen consoles.

The S84F's built-in smart platform isn't quite as snappy and easy to navigate as Google TV, but it's app support is robust and it ought to get the job done for those who'd rather not pair their next TV with an external streaming device.

Best Buy's 55% discount on the 65-inch S84F presents a perfect opportunity if you've been curious about upgrading to an OLED TV but you've been hesitant to spend over $1,000 for the privilege.
