Looking to Upgrade Your Gameday TV? Score Big on a 55-Inch OLED for Just $699
Take advantage of this elite deal in time for kickoff

Nothing says “gameday upgrade” quite like an OLED TV, and right now, the clock is ticking on one of the best OLED deals of the year.
The 55-inch Panasonic Z85A OLED is just $699 at BuyDig — that’s a full $900 off its original price. Panasonic is no stranger to the OLED game. In fact, the famed brand is responsible for some of our favorite OLED TVs in recent years. But as I alluded to earlier, this deal isn’t likely to stick around. Here’s what you need to know. (For more deals, check out our Labor Day TV sales roundup).
The Panasonic Z85A offers the built-in benefits of OLED display technology in a stylish package. It's packed with features for gaming, streaming and more, and folks with Alexa-centric smart home devices are set to make the most out of the Z85A's built-in Fire TV features.
Price check: $797 @ Amazon
BuyDig is a reputable online shop based out of New Jersey. I recommend taking advantage of BuyDig’s discount, because as far as I can tell, you won’t get the Z85A cheaper anywhere else. (Right now, the 55-inch Z85A is $797 at Amazon, so you're getting a sweeter deal with BuyDig.)
Now, lets talk about the TV itself.
The Z85A is the most affordable OLED TV in Panasonic’s portfolio following the brand’s return to the US market in 2024. It sits below the Panasonic Z95A in the lineup but shares many of the same features.
As an OLED TV, the Z85A delivers the incredible contrast we’ve come to expect from this impressive display technology. With millions of self-lit pixels in place of a traditional backlight, the Z85A is capable of perfect black levels and eliminates light bloom altogether.
The Z85A won't get as bright as higher-end OLED TVs, but thanks to the naturally high-contrast nature of OLED displays, this relatively modest level of brightness is more impactful than that of a traditional LED TV.
Essentially, as long as you're not setting this TV up in a sun-soaked room, it should hold up well on gameday.
For what it's worth, you’re getting a decent spread of gaming features with the Z85A, too. This includes a pair of HDMI 2.1 inputs, support for 4K gaming at 120Hz, FreeSync Premium support and G-Sync compatibility. Cinephiles and regular streamers will appreciate the Z85A's Dolby Vision support, as well.
The Z85A is a Fire TV, meaning it leverages Amazon’s Fire TV operating system when it comes to its built-in streaming features.
Fire TV supports a wide range of streaming apps and services, but it’s not our favorite software suite due to its cluttered user interface and somewhat sluggish performance. It does offer nifty smart home integration for Alexa-wired households, though.
If you'd rather use another software suite as a regular streaming platform, just plug one of the best streaming devices into the Z85A and use that, instead. After all, you're already saving plenty of cash on a TV.
According to BuyDig's listing, this deal expires on Sunday, August 31, so practice good clock management if you want to take advantage of it.
