It's the final few hours of iPhone 17 pre-orders, so soon all of Apple's new phones will be available for regular purchase. But even if you pay today, you could be in for a wait.
This is often the way iPhone launches go, as so many users make a beeline for the latest model after holding out on upgrading for as long as possible. Except things are a little different this year, with the usually popular iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max phones joined by a much-upgraded base iPhone 17, and the new, eye-catching iPhone Air.

T-Mobile
If you're considering ordering an iPhone from T-Mobile, getting it on launch day or several weeks later is highly dependent on color. Sage iPhone 17s and Silver or Orange iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are in high demand across all memory variants, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max experiencing the worst availability at present. Apple seems to have restocked some of its more popular colors and specs, so now all are available at the same time as one another. But unfortunately that means an October delivery for a base, Pro or Pro Max model. Most iPhone Air versions can be yours within a week or two however. Walmart's iPhone stock is full of contrasts. Many models can still be yours within a day, but several colors are completely out of stock. Verizon
Somehow Verizon has the widest range of shipping dates for different iPhones of all the carriers we've checked, so let's break this down. Unless you want a Sage-colored iPhone 17, you should be able to get it by September 30. The iPhone Air will still arrive in a matter of days, while the iPhone 17 Pro, unless you want it in silver, won't keep you waiting too long if you order today.
