Spider-Man 3 — aka Spider-Man: No Way Home — is here, and we just learned when it's coming home (to digital and Blu-ray, that is). Yes, the Spider-Man: No Way Home on Disney Plus situation is alarmingly complicated, about as convoluted as the trailers make this film out to be. If you've already seen the movie, though? Check out our story on the Spider-Man: No Way Home secrets spilled by director Jon Watts.

Eager to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home online, or re-watch it? Well, we've got good news for you about its digital release.

The film's series of possible guest-stars has gotten more headlines than nearly anything in recent Marvel movie news, as rumblings of many past Spider-Man stars returning set the internet ablaze. And we just learned that this is likely not the end of Holland's run as Peter Parker — though if you're ready for our first Spoiler Alert!? We've broken down the Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scenes, and that's not all. We've also got an explainer on the importance of that one big Spider-Man: No Way Home Easter egg.

And while it could have been seen as mere speculation, Alfred Molina broke the news that he was returning on his own in an interview. We can't imagine that was Marvel's plan ... unless it really was. And then, most recently the Loki finale saw a huge event that pretty much gives Marvel all the tools they need to go nuts with Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Since Spider-Man: No Way Home is out, it's going through all of the same big conversations that any movie of its scale does. And, wouldn't you believe it, but Spider-Man: No Way Home's been snubbed by the Oscars.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was confirmed after a bit of fun from the movie's stars. Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya each revealed a different title along with press photos on their social media accounts.  Eagle-eyed fans drew a theory from these photos, that our trio of leads would find their way into Doctor Strange's base of operations.

Spider-Man: No Way Home latest news (updated Feb. 23)

Spider-Man: No Way Home cast

There has been a lot of speculation about which characters are set to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, beyond the previously confirmed appearances of Benedicts Cumberbatch and Wong as Doctor Strange and his sassy partner Wong.

We've also heard that a number of actos from classic (read: non-MCU) films would be returning to their roles, including Jamie Foxx as Electro and Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus. Early rumors also speculated that Charlie Cox might reprise his role as Matt Murdock, and mark the first time the character has appeared on the big screen since the disastrous 2003 Daredevil movie.

More recently those rumors changed, and suggested that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would be reprising role as Peter Parker from previous Spider-Man movies. We're not going to spoil anything here, but the big topic at hand right now is the fans demand for Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Those rumors also claimed that Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone may also be returning as Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacey.

But rumors are rumors, and should be treated as such until Marvel and Sony confirms or denies their legitimacy. Here's who we know is going to star in the movie, based on official announcements and the newly-released teaser trailer.

Also, we have a SPOILER WARNING, per another recently released movie. So right below the list of cast you'll find what that relates so.

  • Tom Holland as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man
  • Zendaya as MJ
  • Marisa Tomei as May Parker
  • Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds
  • Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson
  • Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange
  • Benedict Wong as Wong
  • Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan
  • JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson
  • Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus

Speaking of Zendaya and Batalon, Holland's been quoted as saying "We've been making these films for five years now ... We've had such an amazing relationship, the three of us. We've been with each other every step of the way. We've done every single film, every single press tour. So this one scene, [we didn't know] if this would be the last time [we were all working together,]" — which makes us wonder if one of them isn't making it to another Spider-movie.

In the Venom 2 post-credits scene, we saw two huge things, one more subtle than the other. The more obvious moment came as we saw J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, yelling about how Peter Parker is Spider-Man. This ties things directly into the end of Far From Home, and when Venom licked the screen (with Spidey on it), we got the distinct impression that Eddie Brock and his symbiote may appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

But, before that, we saw a gigantic explosion in the sky. It seemed as if the timeline-shattering events from the Loki finale may have been what triggered this dimensions-shattering event.

Spider-Man: No Way Home release dates

The new Spider-Man movie arrived in US theaters on December 17, 2021, a day after the UK and Dec. 16 screenings began.

So, now we wait for the Spider-Man: No Way Home digital and Blu-ray release dates, which are (respectively) March 22 and April 12. You can pre-order the film on Amazon Prime Video for $19.99 right now.

Tickets went on sale on Monday, Nov. 29, or "Spider Monday" as the marketing declared. AMC's app crashed due to the intense demand for tickets at midnight, which may have been tied to NFTs being given away with ticket purchases.

Also, Spider-Man: No Way Home's first streaming service is confirmed to be Starz.

Spider-Man: No Way Home sequels

The big news of the moment is that we're getting another three Tom Holland MCU Spider-Man movies.

Producer Amy Pascal (whose Pascal Pictures left Sony for Universal) is sure this isn't the end of Tom Holland in the MCU.  She told Fandango that "This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel — [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," before noting "We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies."

Sony may not have been ready for her to say that, as unnamed Sony insiders told The Hollywood Reporter that there are no official plans for such a sequel trilogy.

Spider-Man: No Way Home run time

Expect a massive movie. A leak suggests that Spider-Man: No Way Home may be as long as 159 minutes (2 hours and 39 minutes). Those leaks from Ingress have since been deleted, but were spotted by Comicbook.com.

Spider-Man: No Way Home trailers

The second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer delivered Otto Octavius to the MCU, and everyone had a good laugh about that, didn't they?

Fans have been pestering Sony and Marvel for a Spider-Man; No Way Home trailer for months, but with little success. But, following a leak of a very poor quality version of the trailer, our first official footage is finally here.

The trailer seems to confirm a number of key details about the film, including the fact the loss of Peter's secret identity is going to play a crucial role in the plot. So those rumors that it would be glossed over right away, with a Skrull impersonating Peter Parker, aren't going to happen.

So like the comics, following the controversial Brand New Day arc, it seems Doctor Strange is set to erase the world's collective memory of who Spider-Man actually is. But Peter's tampering with the spell, and the extreme danger of doing it in the first place, causes a few issues with space-time. Issues that seemingly lead to the multiverse encroaching on the mainline MCU.

We have to wonder whether the events of Loki are going to play any part in this as well.

In any case it looks like MCU is going a bit Inception on us all, and that might lead to Strange and Spidey teaming up to try and fix the problem. More to the point, it seems as though this reality-bending leads to at least two Marvel supervillains appearing in the movie: Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, and Green Goblin.

We don't see who plays the Goblin in the trailer, though it's been rumored that Willem Dafoe would be returning to reprise his role from the very first Spider-Man movie. Likewise there has been speculation that other villains could show up, including Jamie Foxx's Electro, Thomas Haden Church's Sandman, and Jared Leto's Morbius.

So far only Molina's return is confirmed.

Spider-Man: No Way Home set photos

While there have been many leaks concerning Spider-Man: No Way Home, the sets have been relatively tight. That said, a few photos that have spilled out.

For starters, when an image of the gifts handed out to the film crew may not sound like much, but the art contains references to both Andrew Garfield's spider-Man suit, and the iconic font used by the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies.

After that, an odd prop leaked out on Twitter. This bus stop poster portrays the Statue of Liberty as "NYC's newest (and tallest) Avenger," and even gives Lady Liberty Cap's shield. We assume this isn't a spoiler about Captain America 4 (that shield is a lot smaller), but makes us wonder about the branding of Captain America going forward.

Especially after the U.S. Government's disastrous attempts to replace Steve Rogers with John Walker during the events of Falcon and the Inter Soldier.

Merchandise leaks have also suggested that Perter will be getting some mystical upgrades during this movie, with toys showcasing Spider-Man's suit with the same runes as Doctor Strange's Eldritch magic.

And it would make sense for Strange to give his new sidekick a mystical upgrade if magic really was the cause of the movie's problems.

Likewise other official merchandise features Mysertio's iconic fishbowl helmet and the phrase "We Believe Mysterio". If we were to speculate, it appears the world is torn on whether to believe Peter Parker or the doctored video Mysterio used to frame Parker for his death.

It seems awfully prudent to have such a topic come up in a movie, especially in this age of disinformation and conspiracies that we live in.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Tobey Maguire leaks

When Spider-Man: No Way Home stunt coordinator George Cottle posted about the production of No Way Home wrapping, he may have planted an Easter egg in said post. His tagging of Chris Daniels, who was the stunt-man for Tobey Maguire in the earlier Spider-Man movies, makes people think that Maguire will definitely appear in the movie. Nothing is confirmed, though.

Then, Roger Pera (who often does the Spanish language voice-dubbing for Maguire), practically confirmed it as well.

Meanwhile Andrew Garfield has adamantly denied his involvement in the film, claiming that he "didn't get the call". Which is either a lie, an oversight on Marvel's part, or a huge hole in this "Spider-Men" theory fans have cooked up.
