Walmart launches epic $364 king size cooling mattress deal — this won't last until Memorial Day
Our picky mattress reviewers gave the Allswell 10" Hybrid bed-in-a-box a 4 out of 5 star rating, recommending it as an ideal budget bed for couples
In the market for a firm, cool mattress this Memorial Day? Look no further than the Allswell Hybrid Mattress, down to $364 (was $430) for a king at Walmart. A twin is on sale for $192 (was $214), and a queen is down to $282 (was $314). You'll also get free shipping and 90-day returns.
As one of the best cheap mattresses you can find online, the Allswell Hybrid offers decent quality without breaking the bank. Our testers found it well-suited to stomach and back sleepers, and rated it highly for temperature regulation, motion isolation, and edge support. Impressive for the lower price tag.
Right now you can snag a king and Cal king for under $400 in this year's Memorial Day mattress sales. Looking for discounts on the top-rated options in our best mattress of the year guide? All good, as we’re tracking the best value Memorial Day mattress sales and deals of 2026 live so that you don't miss a saving.
We're focussing on the king and Cal king sizes here as these have been hit with the best discounts with Memorial Day. There's a sweet $148 saving on a Cal king ($354 now) and $66 off a king size ($364 now). It's not often you can shop a bigger bed at a lower price, making this the perfect deal for co-sleepers who like to stay as far apart as possible. A queen size may still be at MSRP, but $314 is still great value for such a mattress. Walmart perks are decent too with free shipping, 90-day free returns, and a 10-year warranty included.

Cooling and stomach-sleeper support for less
Allswell is Walmart's own bed-in-a-box brand and offers a lot for a low price in its signature hybrid, despite the fact hybrid mattresses are usually more expensive than all-foam models — impressive, huh?
Our reviewers found front sleeping to be the ideal position on this bed as the firmer-than-stated surface ensures the hips don't dip out of alignment. Back sleeping was also well supported, but side sleepers would likely want something more cloud-like to prevent achy hips.
With a heatwave upon us, temperature control is at the front of a lot of mattress shoppers' minds right now. Although this bed doesn't have any premium cooling tech (with a $300 price tag, you can't expect it to), there is gel-infused memory foam that absorbs and transfers heat away from the body, while springs allow air to circulate through the bed, providing a cooler sleep surface.
Our lead tester and seasoned mattress reviewer Alison Barretta says it feels like you're "floating on top of the bed rather than sinking into it, which lessened the likelihood of overheating."
The rest of our review panel found the Allswell comfortable for napping during a balmy August afternoon. Mild sleeper, approved. However, it may not be cool enough for chronic hot sleepers. If that's you, you're sure to find the right bed in our best cooling mattress guide.
If you want a more luxurious firm mattress...
If you have the budget, we always recommend investing a bit more into your mattress. As great as cheap beds can be, they can't compete with the support and durability offered by those with mid-range price tags, like the Helix Dawn Mattress.
The Dawn Mattress is the firmest bed from Helix and a top choice for stomach sleepers thanks to its thoughtful design. It's specifically built to provide stomach sleepers with all the support they need to maintain healthy spinal alignment. Hence, it is no surprise that it tops our best mattress for stomach sleepers guide.
Let's get straight to the discount: There's currently 25% off in the standard Helix mattress sale. But, readers, you're in for a treat. Our semi-exclusive code TOMS27 will bag you can extra saving, cutting a queen size from $1,478 MSRP to $1,079. If you run hot at night, you can add a GlacioTex cooling layer for $280; if back pain keeps you awake, there's a supportive ErgoAlign layer available for $187. Free shipping, a 120-night trial, and lifetime warranty are always included.
