I know I'm not alone when I say that getting my kids to brush their teeth isn't easy. In fact, twice a day, it's a pretty painful experience – and not for them, even though they certainly like to act like it is.
Fortunately, it looks like the days of suffering through endlessly trying to persuade my kids into the bathroom is over, and that's thanks to a new IKEA collection that's sure to impress them.
How do you make teeth brushing fun? Well, a pop of color, a dash of fun, and a range of kid-friendly items that your little ones will actually want to interact with.
Introducing the HUMLESJÖN collection, six new items in bright orange, turquoise and green at unbelievably affordable prices. Well, not totally unbelievable given IKEA's record, but I'd argue that I'd pay more for these (don't tell IKEA that).
Fun and kid-friendly
In the same way IKEA's (fairly) new gardening collection is a plant parent's dream, this bathroom lineups is a kid parent's dream. Starting off at $2.99 for the chunky and adorable mug, it's easy to hold and perfect for little hands, as well as a great place to pop their brushes when they're done.
Mirror, timer, soap dispenser, basket and hooks make up this attractive collection embracing vibrancy and fun. What I really love is the use of suction cups. Having everything at eye level for kids is always a hit, so you can set your kid up their own little station with mirror, hooks and, the best part yet, a timer that makes toothbrushing a bit of a game.
Even better, the most expensive thing in the lineup is $7.99 for the mirror with suction cup. So, for just over $30 you can set up the entire collection in your home and you can't put a price on encouraging your kid to brush their teeth and wash their hands. They're certainly jumping into my basket, quicker than the sand on that timer.

Shop the IKEA kids lineup
Prep for the day by sticking this cute little mirror up at your kid's height and allowing them to take control of getting ready. It's a simple change to your bathroom that will help your kid work on completing tasks independently, and it'll only cost you $7.99.
One of my favorites from the collection, the sand travels through the timer in 70-90 seconds allowing your kid to get a good toothbrushing session in. Gamifying the experience is always a hit!
Perfectly shaped for little hands, this vibrant orange mug is great for a quick rinse after toothbrushing or a place to store the toothbrushes afterwards. And at only $2.99, if you've got more than one kid, you could avoid the arguments by buying one for each of them.
A soap dispenser that's designed for tiny hands. To get the soap, all they have to do is push their entire hand over the top and push down. It looks like a little robot and I'm pretty sure my kids will never refuse to wash their hands again.
