The vibes: The MCU goes noir, flavored by whiskey and trauma.

The plot: Frank Castle is trying something a little different: not living every waking second like a human vendetta machine. Naturally, it doesn’t stick. Bernthal’s gravel-voiced antihero goes into another violent spiral, this time with a bit more soul-searching. Positioned between “The Punisher” and “Daredevil: Born Again” season 2, the special looks less like a superhero spectacle and more like a self-reckoning.

Premiere date: Special airs Tuesday, May 12 at 9 p.m. ET

The vibes: The coolest couple you know breaks up, with apocalyptic stakes.

The plot: In the super-sized last episode that comprises the third season, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) are officially estranged — which is inconvenient since the literal Second Coming is underway. After his promotion to Supreme Archangel, Aziraphale is buried under heavenly bureaucracy while Crowley sulks through Soho like a devastated divorcé. But with the universe wobbling toward disaster, the pair are dragged back together for one last emotionally messy save-the-world mission.

The vibes: A hetero “Heated Rivalry” in the format of “Bridgerton.”

The plot: Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels, this horny soap focuses on an elite college hockey team whose hookups are as hot as their on-ice drive is cold. Like “Bridgerton,” each book — and likely each season — shifts focus to a new couple. Season 1 centers on the chemistry between team golden boy Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) and reserved songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright). Their opposites-attract dynamic fuels a romance packed with banter, bad decisions and barely-suppressed lust.

The plot: From “Power” mastermind Courtney A. Kemp, this sleek crime thriller pits jewel thief Coltrane Wilder (Y'lan Noel) against obsessive LAPD detective Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law). Their cat-and-mouse game starts with stolen diamonds but quickly spirals into something messier: two family men who recognize way too much of themselves in the enemy.

The plot: Season 5 chronicles Wrexham’s jump into the Championship, where survival suddenly matters as much as dreams of the Premier League. Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds navigate a tougher squad rebuild, compounding pressures and a relegation fight while honoring club legend Joey Jones. Meanwhile, the women’s team also pushes for top-flight status in Wales.

The vibes: The “naughtiest show on television” gets even naughtier, and the hair gets even bigger.

The plot: Season 2 escalates the battle for the Central South West TV franchise as Corinium and Venturer turn vicious. David Tennant’s Lord Baddingham goes full scorched-earth, targeting Rupert (Alex Hassell) and Declan (Aidan Turner) with schemes and scandal. Ambition curdles into obsession, alliances fall apart and romances implode, as the county’s glossy surface starts to crack.
