March is almost here, which means we’re finally inching out of the winter doldrums, even if we aren’t quite free of the frost just yet. If you're looking for the best way to bridge the gap until spring, HBO Max has you covered with a fresh slew of content next month, from suburban noir to cringe-comedy royalty.
The month kicks off on March 1 with "DTF St. Louis," a limited series that proves the suburbs are rarely as quiet as they look. What starts as a tangled love triangle between three middle-aged neighbors quickly spirals into a dark, high-stakes mystery when one of them ends up dead. For more awkward comedy vibes, tune in on March 8 for "Rooster," which stars Steve Carell as a writer who begins orbiting his daughter’s life as a college professor, making her academic career as hilariously uncomfortable as humanly possible.
The real heavy hitter arrives on March 22 with the long-awaited return of "The Comeback." After a dozen years away, Lisa Kudrow’s Valerie Cherish is back for a third and final season of painfully funny, brutally real showbiz desperation. While these three highlights are a strong place to start your watchlist, they’re just the tip of the iceberg for the month ahead. Keep scrolling below for the full list of everything coming to HBO Max this March.
New on Max in March 2026: Top Picks
'DTF St. Louis'
This dark comedy follows three adults (Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini) who are all stuck in the same midlife rut, and all looking for something to crack their lives open. After undergoing a messy love triangle, their disillusionment devolves into something much darker when one of them ends up dead. There isn't a ton of information surrounding the show out just yet, but when you've got a power trio of leads like this one, it pretty much has to be good.
Stream "DTF St. Louis" on HBO Max starting March 1
'Rooster'
This comedy brings Steve Carell back into his awkwardly magnetic sitcom mode as Greg Russo. Russo is a best-selling author who gets pulled into the orbit of a college campus where he shows up to support his daughter, Katie (Charly Clive). Katie's personal life isunraveling after her husband left her for a grad student, and instead of keeping a healthy distance like a normal person, he sticks around, gets absorbed into campus politics and chaos, and starts making everything messier. Typical of a Carell comedy, and we can't wait to see him back in the saddle.

'The Comeback' season 3
A decade after Season 2, the cult cringe-comedy "The Comeback" is returning one last time for a third and final season, bringing creator duo Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King together again, with Kudrow back in the role of washed-up celebrity Valerie Cherish.
Season 3 picks up with Valerie once again chasing relevance in an industry that’s changed around her, with familiar faces returning alongside a stacked new wave of guest and supporting faces. This time around, she'll be starring in a new meta TV show within the show, focusing on AI. That doesn't sound like the best idea ever, but what do we know?
