Fall has arrived, and it's that time of year when running outdoors becomes a little trickier as the roads and pavements are slick with wet leaves. That's why it matters what you put on your feet, and luckily, the insanely popular Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 running shoe just dropped to $89 at Amazon, marking its lowest price in 30 days.
Asics is having a huge sale ahead of Black Friday, so now is the perfect time to take advantage of deals on running shoes before they disappear. Here's why this sneaker is one of my favorites to run in.
These sneakers are super cushioned and are a dream to run longer distances in. Asics uses its PureGel and FF Blast Eco Plus tech for a responsive, light, yet cushioned feel that allows you to soak up the miles in luxury. Asics offers several color options, so remember to check that the deal applies to your chosen color before you add it to your cart.
When picking the best running shoes, it's honestly a minefield. Luckily for me, three of my colleagues are keen runners, so I can pick their brains, and I can also assure you that the Asics Gel-Nimbus is on the yes list.
There have been several new releases in the Gel-Nimbus lineup (the 26 and 27), which is probably why the 25 is so heavily discounted. However, you won't be disappointed with the 25s, and they are certainly worth the money. In fact, there's not a huge difference between the 25 and 26. I own a lot of sneakers, and I still lace these up every week.
The upper is super breathable and wraps my feet, and my ankles are well cradled; I've never had chaffing, thanks to the padded collar. But really, the highlight of the Gel-Nimbus is cushioning. Seriously, these sneakers are so comfortable and bouncy to run in, and I can just eat the miles up in them.
The midsole is packed with a thick slice of FF Blast+ Eco cushioning and uses PureGel technology for a soft and light cushion. This doesn't weigh you down, though, and the shoe is super lightweight to run in, which means it travels well, too.
Neutral and underpronated runners should be fine, but overpronaters may want to shop around. I wear the pink color, but I love the apricot color and the white/pure silver model that has a lemony strip running along the midsole. Another win for Asics, as they look so darn good, too.
The grip is also superb, and I never feel unsure heading out for a run in them during the fall months when wet leaves and rainwater pose a risk. All in all, this is a shoe you will never regret buying, and at just $89 and its lowest price, this deal is a total shoe-in (ahem).
