Burnley's game against Luton Town was postponed last weekend while the Hatters complete improvements at Kenilworth Road, so Vincent Kompany has had two whole weeks to prepare his side for the visit of Aston Villa. The Clarets had a real baptism of fire on their return to the Premier League, with a home fixture against reigning champions Man City on opening night, but despite the 3-0 scoreline the Turf Moor faithful will have seen plenty to be encouraged by. If they can put in a similar performance here today they could cause Villa some real problems.

There are two changes to Kompany's side today, with Benson and Delcroix in for Beyer and Vitinho. Aaron Ramsey, who recently signed for the Clarets from today's opponents, is named on the bench, but Anass Zaroury is absent after being sent off in stoppage time of the game against Man City.

Aston Villa bounced back from their thrashing at Newcastle with a 4-0 win over Everton last weekend. The Toffees barely put up a fight against Unai Emery's side, with Leon Bailey scoring one himself after setting up John McGinn's 18th-minute opener, Douglas Luiz converting a penalty, and Jhon Durán finishing things off 15 minutes from time. Summer signing Moussa Diaby was a constant menace but the result probably taught us more about Everton's prospects this season than it did about Villa's. Can they make it back-to-back wins when they visit Lancashire today?

Robin Olsen starts in goal for Villa today after Emi Martinez went off injured at half-time of the midweek Europa Conference League clash with Hibs, with Matty Cash also returning to the starting XI. Leon Bailey drops to the bench, where he'll be joined by new signing Nicolo Zaniolo.
