Amazon Prime Day early freebies, perks and tips for saving big
It’s official. Prime Day is back and it’ll land on June 23, 2026. This year’s Amazon shopping event is a four-day long deals extravaganza, so the savings will continue until June 26.
Prime Day has been running since 2015, but there’s a difference this year. The event is traditionally held in July. But this year the festivities will start a whole month earlier than usual!
In case you didn’t know, Prime Day is basically a members-only sale held at Amazon. Amazon Prime members will get exclusive discounts on everything from Ring video doorbells to groceries. You can sign up for an Amazon Prime membership for $14.99/month, or you may also be eligible to sign up for a free trial.
Rival retailers like Best Buy and Walmart have also historically held rival sales at the same time as Prime Day to tempt shoppers away from Amazon, so you’re likely to find good deals across the web even if you’re staying away from the big A this year. In the meantime, there are early Prime Day deals on Adidas and Yeti, and early savings on Amazon devices from Blink, Ring and Fire TV.

Prime Day freebies
Prime Day deals aren’t the only thing going on this June — Amazon also has freebies up for grabs.
Right now Prime members can get 3 months of Audible for free. This will get you access to free audiobooks!
There are also prizes to win. If you set up a deals alert with Alexa, you’ll have the chance to win a $1,000 Amazon gift card.
Plus, while it's not totally free, you'll probably be buying groceries at some point this month. Amazon Prime shoppers have the chance to win free groceries in sweepstakes after a $15 spend.
Prime Day streaming deals
Prime Day streaming deals are hotly anticipated. Last year, add-on subscriptions were discounted for Prime members — basically meaning you could level up your Prime Video subscription with extra content, at crazy-low prices. In 2025, Paramount Plus dropped to $0.99/month and Apple TV Plus dropped to $4/month on Prime Day.
Ahead of Prime Day 2026, you can get up to 50% off digital titles to rent or buy. You can also purchase Prime Video add-ons starting at $0.99!
Prime Day Kindle deals
Amazon likes to make us wait for Kindle deals — but they will be back this Prime Day! If it’s been a while since you’ve upgraded your e-reader, or you’re buying for the first time, all your summer reads are about to be bliss.
As well as discounts on Kindle devices, we will also see discounts on e-books and physical books. And Prime members can also get 3 months of Audible for free, which means free audiobooks.

Amazon Haul is one of my favorite underrated ways to save at Amazon. It’s a bit like an online jumble sale packed with discounts on everything from string lights to big-brand shoes and apparel. There are definitely lots of junk deals in here, but it’s still always fun to go treasure hunting.

More Prime Day perks
Possibly the tastiest offer of the bunch is the chance to get a $5 pizza from Little Cesar’s. This offer starts on June 15 and runs through June 26. I’ll be hungrily awaiting this one myself.
