Blink has unveiled three new budget-friendly home security cameras at Amazon’s fall hardware event, including a dual-camera that provides a 180-degree panoramic view.
All of these new cameras also feature a big resolution boost from 1080p to 2K or higher, which means you’ll be able to make out more details in the footage captured by the best home security cameras around your house.
To start things off, Amazon unveiled the new Blink Outdoor 2K+, which looks to be an update to our favorite budget outdoor security camera. This new camera features crystal-clear 2K video, 4x zoom, enhanced low-light performance, noise-cancelling audio with two-way talk, and person and vehicle detection for smart notifications, though this last feature requires a Blink Subscription Plus Plan. The Blink Outdoor 2K+ also comes equipped with the same long-lasting battery life the company is known for while Blink Weather Shield allows you to install this camera outdoors as it can easily withstand the elements.
If you’re looking for a new indoor camera, the Blink Mini 2K+ is the company's most advanced plug-in compact camera to date. It packs in the same smart features and 2K video quality as its outdoor sibling. In fact, if you prefer wired over wireless outdoor security cameras, you can use the Blink Mini 2K+ outside, but you’ll need Blink’s Weather-Resistant Power Adapter to do so.
The Blink Outdoor 2K+ will cost $89.99, while the Blink Mini 2K+ is just $49.99 and both cameras are available for preorder today.
Dual-camera home monitoring on a budget
In addition to the upgraded Blink Outdoor 2K+ and the Blink Mini 2K+, Amazon also unveiled something entirely new for Blink, a dual-camera that combines two Blink Mini 2K+ cameras in the same device.
The new Blink Arc is powered by a single source and mounted from a single point to provide a 180-degree panoramic view. With a nearly 6-megapixel resolution, it’s perfect for capturing wide views both indoors and outdoors. However, to use it outside, you’ll also need Blink’s Weather Resistant Power Adapter, just like with the new Blink Mini 2K+. At the same time, to get seamless, 180-degree video feeds that utilize both of the Blink Arc’s cameras, you’ll need a Blink Subscription Plus Plan, which is set to go up in price next week, on October 8t,h for the first time ever. From that date on, the service’s Basic Plan, which covers a single devic,e will cost $4 per month or $40 for the year. Likewise, the Plus plan, which covers unlimited devices, will increase to $12 a month or $120 for the year.

If you want to be able to see large portions of your front yard or backyard in a single view from within the Blink app, this could definitely be worth it. However, to do so, you’ll need a Plus plan subscription as opposed to a Basic one.
The Blink Arc will cost $99.99 and also includes a mount if you want to install it outdoors. Likewise, the Blink Arc mount is available on its own for 19.99. Both are available for preorder starting today.
