IKEA just dropped a $12 gadget that will tackle your dark hallways this fall

Fall is here, and while this brings the warm, autumnal tones outdoors, this also means darker evenings and shorter days. And if, like me, you have a dark hallway with very little natural light, it can seem even more gloomy during the winter months.
That’s why I was excited to learn of IKEA’s VALLHORN motion smart sensor light for $12, that has just solved my hallways problem. This clever gadget simply uses a sensor to activate light once it detects movement, which avoids the risk of anyone stumbling in the dark, or searching for a light switch. Best of all, it’s just $12, making it a budget-friendly solution to lighting up your dark spaces both indoors and outside of the home.
This wireless motion sensor light can detect movement, with a maximum range of 30 feet to the direct light source. It requires two rechargeable LADDA AAA batteries, and can be set for day or night mode. What’s more, it’s versatile to place in any room or even outdoors. Plus, it can be used with other smart products, only in the IKEA Home smart app.
Why I’ll be picking up this IKEA VALLHORN Wireless motion sensor light
Perhaps what I love most about the IKEA VALLHORN sensor lights is that you don’t need hardwired installation, and you can simply place them anywhere with its double-sided tape. Its matt-white, minimal design is small and discreet, and will instantly brighten up your dark spaces once it detects movement. This is always handy when you have your hands full, or saves you the hassle of fumbling around to turn on a wall light switch.
I also like the fact that it comes with two settings: a day and night mode, and you can also set it to automatically turn off after one or five minutes. Plus, its battery operation will save you money on electricity bills in the long run.
What’s more, if you already have other IKEA smart products, you can easily connect this up to the IKEA Home smart app, where you can control and get the most out of your VALLHORN sensor lights.
So, if you want to discreetly light up your dark hallways or rooms this season, (without breaking the bank), I’d recommend grabbing one or two of these IKEA VALLHORN motion sensor lights.
