Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) is a one-man inferno in "Fire Country" season 4, consumed by grief, rage and a misplaced sense of entitlement. Banding together is the only way the crew of Station 42 are going to get through this, but with Bode in no mood for diplomacy, a stern older head is required to settle the ship.

Here's how to watch "Fire Country" season 4 online from anywhere with a VPN — and potentially for free.

It's fair to describe season 4 as the beginning of a new era for the drama. The death of Bode's father and Station 42 battalion chief Vince (Billy Burke) in the Zabel Ridge blaze came as a seismic surprise, and another "Fire Country" regular is set to follow, albeit on less incendiary terms.

When it appears as if Jake (Jordan Calloway) might be in line to succeed Vince as battalion chief, Bode singles him out as the target of his fury. The Station 42 captain, who's sticking around after almost taking up a posting in Butte, is the outstanding candidate, yet Bode demands the job as his apparent birthright, having barely been tenured for a year. This discord ushers in the disciplinarian Brett Richards (Shawn Hatosy), whose severe style at least establishes him as a common enemy.

Sharon (Diane Farr) turns to her family as she mourns her husband, providing some welcome relief courtesy of Wes Fox (W. Earl Brown), her off-grid, marijuana-growing stepfather. Wes' cameo paves the way for a crossover with "Sheriff Country", which counts Sharon's stepsister Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) as its lead.
