'Mob War: Philadelphia vs The Mafia'
"Mob War: Philadelphia vs The Mafia" is the latest series to claim the top spot on the streaming service, and if you're in the mood for a documentary, it just might be the watch for you.
This three-part series takes us back to the '90s, where the City of Brotherly Love was the site of a brutal battle for control between two warring factions. Netflix puts it best on YouTube: "Long in the shadow of New York, the story of the Philly mob is MORE violent and MORE compelling than anything ever witnessed in Gotham."

'Nobody Wants This'
Netflix's hit rom-com "Nobody Wants This" is back for a second season, and it's just as easy to love this time around (I would know: I've already binge-watched the entire second season).
After we spent the first season watching sparks fly between agnostic podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and rabbi Noah (Adam Brody), this second season continues to be as watchable, thanks in no small part to the fact that their on-screen chemistry is just that good. That unlikely couple is still going strong here, facing new challenges as they commit to merging their lives — and loved ones — together as one big group.

'Parish'
If you're a fan of Giancarlo Esposito (who isn't?), you might want to check out this new-to-Netflix crime drama from regular Harlan Coben collaborator, Danny Brocklehurst ("Fool Me Once," "Missing You," "Lazarus") which was just added today (Oct. 24).
The series is based on Brocklehurst's 2014 hit UK series, "The Driver," and originally premiered on AMC in March 2024. It introduces us to Gray Parish (Esposito), a man with a troubled, criminal past who has given up his old ways to turn his hand at being a family man. Haunted by the death of his son, he's pulled into an adrenaline-charged race through the criminal underworld...

'Boots'
“Boots” is a new Netflix comedy-drama that has premiered to widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences. The show, a new spin on the coming-of-age story, earned an impressive 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, along with some not-so-nice comments from the Pentagon. But as they say, "bad press is good press," and "Boots" has shot up to the No. 2 spot on the streamer's charts.
"Boots" steps back in time to the 1990s US Marine Corps, when being gay in the military was still illegal. Here, we meet Cameron Cope (Miles Heizer), a directionless young man hiding his sexuality, and his best friend Ray McAffey (Liam Oh), as they join a group of recruits. Together, they and the rest of the ensemble build unlikely friendships and bond over enduring an institution determined to break them.

'The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon'
With everyone buzzing about the recent "Daryl Dixon" season 3 finale, it's the perfect time to check out this critically acclaimed "The Walking Dead" spin-off. Netflix just got the second season, where fans can look forward to the long-awaited reunion between Daryl (Norman Reedus) and his best friend Carol (Melissa McBride) on a journey through a post-apocalyptic France.
Why exactly are they in France, you ask? That mystery is answered piecemeal over the first season after it kicks off with our gruff and gloomy hero washing up in France, unconscious and floating on an upturned rowboat. Together, these fan-favorite characters stir up mayhem as they come face-to-face with a ruthless new enemy, and likely a few terrifying zombie variants along the way. - Alyse Stanley
