Netflix subscribers are still enjoying the service’s latest crop of original content added in January. Movies like “The Rip” and shows like “His & Hers” continue to dominate the platform’s most-watched lists. However, Netflix isn’t resting on its laurels and has plenty more new additions in the pipeline.

There’s a strong slate of Netflix exclusives arriving over the coming days. I’ve particularly got my eye on “Skyscaper Live,” which will see professional climber Alex Honnold scale a towering skyscraper without any safety equipment.

Plus, there’s also a new true crime feature chronicling the kidnapping of a 14-year-old, and a binge-able romance drama set in the world of figure skating (the comparisons to “Heated Rivalry” are surely inevitable).

If you’re looking for your next Netflix watch, these are the latest shows and movies that can’t be enjoyed anywhere else.

‘Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart’

Netflix’s latest true crime feature-length documentary explores the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart. At just 14-years-old Smart was taken from her home in Salt Lake City by Brian David Mitchell, a street preacher whom Smart’s family had hired to do odd jobs. She was kept prisoner for several months before being rescued by police officers. “Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart” looks to tell this harrowing story with frank honesty and real authenticity.

Smart was involved in the documentary-making process and said of the final feature, “[the filmmakers] did justice to my story.” While Smart’s ordeal is unthinkable, and the documentary doesn’t shy away from showcasing this, it also has a hopeful aspect.

“I hope that people who watch this [documentary can see] that even after terrible things happen, you can still have a wonderful life,” said Smart to Netflix’s Tudum. True Crime is persistently popular with Netflix viewers, and this latest documentary could be another streaming hit.

‘Finding Her Edge’

If the ice-hockey-themed romance drama of “Heated Rivalry” is on your mind, Netflix might just have the perfect show to hold you over until its already confirmed second season.

“Finding Her Edge” is set in the world of professional figure skating and also centers on a charged love affair. It looks positively swoon-worthy (and more than a little melodramatic) and should make for a suitable seasonal binge-watch in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day.

Adriana Russo (Madelyn Keys) is a rising star in the figure skating world, the latest in long-line of successful skaters. She faces the intense pressures of living up to the family’s name and legacy on the ice.

At the same time, she’s torn between a potential romance with her new partner, Brayden (Cale Ambrozic), and her burning feelings for her ex-partner and first love, Freddie (Olly Atkins). “Finding Her Edge” could be Netflix’s next No. 1 show.

‘Skyscraper Live’

Netflix’s latest live event will see renowned free solo climber Alex Honnold attempt to climb one of the tallest buildings in the world, Taipei 101 in Taiwan. Climbing all 101-floors of a glass-covered skyscraper is enough to make your head spin, and Honnold will be doing so without any safety ropes, making the athletic feat all the more impressive and sure to get your palms sweating even when watching along at home from the safety of your couch.

It’s all in a day's work for Honnold, who is one of the world’s most experienced free solo climbers. The American climber was first introduced to millions of viewers via the excellent documentary “Free Solo,” which chronicled Honnold’s mission to climb El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

The doc is now streaming on Netflix, and makes for a great warm-up watch ahead of “Skyscraper Live.” It should go without saying that subscribers with a fear of heights will want to skip this live event, but thrillseekers shouldn't miss it.
