Netflix top 10 shows — here’s the 3 I'd binge-watch this week (Jan. 20-26)
The three trending Netflix shows that belong on your watchlist this week
In between Netflix shows, and on the hunt for a quick recommendation? One of the reasons we still rate Netflix as one of the best streaming services in the game is because the streamer offers such a wide variety of new shows and movies to subscribers, but all that choice can make choosing your next watch a real headache.
Plus, if you rely on the Netflix charts for help finding your next watch, you can't guarantee that what's trending will be watchlist-worthy, or all that fresh — and that's where I come in.
I keep a very close eye on the Netflix top 10 shows list and, every Tuesday, I highlight three series that I think you should have on your radar. You can find my current picks, plus a full breakdown of everything in the Netflix top 10 below.
Note: This article is based on the Netflix U.S. top 10 as of Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.
Best shows in the Netflix top 10
'Agatha Christie's Seven Dials'
I know that Chris Chibnall's new adaptation of the Queen of Crime's "Seven Dials Mystery" hasn't been universally well-liked, but as it's my favorite new Netflix original of 2026 (so far), I couldn't not champion this three-part murder-mystery miniseries here, too. If you like cozy crime sagas and British wit, I think this is a great little series to polish off in an evening or over a weekend. Plus, it's remained the No. 2 show on the platform since it arrived, so it clearly has some fans out there!
For newcomers, "Agatha Christie's Seven Dials" takes us back in time to 1925, where a prank carried out after a lavish party at a handsome country estate in southern England appears to have gone murderously wrong. Suspecting foul play, Lady Eileen "Bundle" Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce) begins to investigate, unaware that in doing so, she's about to stumble on a chilling plot that's way bigger than anyone could expect and that just might change her life forever.

'His & Hers'
Chances are, you've already streamed "His & Hers," as this compelling, six-part mystery-thriller has consistently been the No. 1 watch on Netflix since it arrived.
First marketed as a "seductive and twisty psychological thriller," William Oldroyd's six-part series is a gripping murder mystery that follows Anna Andrews ("Hedda" star, Tessa Thompson), a TV anchor who has stepped back from her career and social life.
When she hears about a murder in Dahlonega, the quiet Georgia town she grew up in, she decides to investigate the case herself. That case is also being investigated by her estranged husband, Detective Jack Harper (Jon Bernthal), and Jack grows increasingly suspicious of her sudden interest in his latest case as part of the town's Sheriff's Office, complicating an already tangled investigation...

'Southland'
Since it's been in the running for a couple of weeks (and my other two picks are Netflix originals), I'm swapping out Hulu's sci-thriller "11.22.63" for a new recommendation this week. If you're looking for a major new Netflix binge, you might well want to stream "Southland," a well-liked network cop drama that just came to Netflix at the end of last week.
Filmed on the streets of Los Angeles, this hard-hitting police procedural follows the daily lives of a group of veteran detectives and beat cops tackling crime on the streets of Southern California. While it's not a series I'm personally familiar with, Netflix just added all five seasons of the NBC/TNT drama, and it comes well-recommended by critics and fans alike; viewers rate it 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
