Rick and Morty season 5 episode 5 time and channel

Episode 5 of Rick and Morty season 5 is going to start at 11 p.m. ET today  (Sunday, July 18).
It's on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block, and tonight's installment is titled "Amortycan Grickfitti."

Are you ready to watch Rick and Morty season 5 episode 5? Tonight, we've got the latest installment of the animated series, and it bears another cinematic reference in its title: Amortycan Grickfitti.

All we want, though, seriously, is for Morty to keep it in his pants. After last week's visit with space ... creatures ... we've discovered the kid is a chip off the old grandfather. The official synopsis of the episode reads "Summer and Morty steal Rick's car to impress a new kid at school. Meanwhile, Rick and Jerry have a guys' night from hell."

And while the former half of that sentence is up for interpretation, likely drawing inspiration from the George Lucas film American Graffiti, the latter half was previewed during the preview at the end of Rickdependence Spray (an episode title that doesn't really make as much sense now that we know it was Morty who ... nevermind).

In that preview, Rick and Jerry were in the garage with a bunch of occult items, and Rick told Beth that they can't help her with her situation, because of guy's night. She was as confused as we were to hear that her father's spending time with her husband. We call shenanigans.

This is the latest Rick and Morty season 5 episode to use a movie title to hint at its plot. And we're guessing that Morty and Summer's joy ride will be twisted and perverted in ways only the Rick and Morty writer's room can think of. This follows the incident in "Rickdependence Spray" where an alien race of sperm were created because Morty decided to take an interest in the technology at Beth's workplace.

And so we're now leading to some other kind of chaos, and we wonder if this will be the moment where Morty finally says enough is enough — and means it. More likely, though, that would happen in episode 5 or episode 10 which would be the cliffhanger episodes before breaks — if history repeats itself.
