Get the best screen for your dollar before kickoff
The World Cup starts today! If you still haven't gotten your hands on the perfect TV set, there's still time to grab a great deal before kickoff.
You'll need to opt for in-store pickup to get a TV in time for today's games (Mexico vs South Africa; South Korea vs Czechia.) Or, if you're not in a hurry, choose home delivery. Either way, there are tons of incredible TV deals you can shop today.
My biggest recommendation is the TCL 65-inch QM8L 4K Mini-LED TV for $1,799. We rank it as the best TV for live sports — thanks to its lightning-fast 144Hz refresh rate, you'll see every moment of the action. Right now it's on sale for a massive $700 off.

My favorite TV deals
This is one of the cheapest TV deals I can find for World Cup kickoff day. I wouldn't recommend using it as your main set, but it works fine as an extra screen for a kitchen or bedroom. It has a 1080p resolution, fits in small spaces and comes with Amazon’s Fire TV experience built right in. You’ll get thousands of channels, apps, and Alexa skills, along with an Alexa Voice Remote for quick control.

If you're shopping the sales for an ultra-affordable TV with an emphasis on easy streaming, this Roku Plus Series deal has your name on it. Its modest array of Mini-LEDs allows for better contrast control than what you'll find on cheaper TVs with edge-lit displays, and thanks to its built-in Roku functionality, the Plus Series is very easy to use. This is the TV to get if you're looking for a straightforward software experience.

The Hisense QD7 is our current winner for the best budget TV. We gave it a 4-star rating in our Hisense QD7 TV review, praising its colorful picture, excellent sound and sharp upscaling. Note — the 75-inch and larger models have a 144Hz refresh rate, but the 65-inch and smaller TVs drop to 60Hz, making them less great for watching live sports.

The Samsung S90F is an enticing new OLED TV. In addition to the built-in benefits of OLED display technology (like perfect black levels and wide viewing angles), the S90F also arrives with tons of free streaming channels and several cloud gaming services via Samsung Gaming Hub.

The TCL QM8L has a super-fast 144Hz refresh rate that makes it ideal for watching live sports. Plus, thanks to its Super Quantum Dot-equipped panel, the 65-inch TCL QM8L is one of the brightest and most-colorful TVs out there. Right now, there's a massive $700 discount on this set, so I recommend it to anyone in the market for a brighter, more impressive-looking picture to showcase the World Cup.

TCL's flagship QM9K boasts some of the highest brightness numbers we've ever seen. If you have a room with way too much ambient light, the QM9K cuts through it with ease and, thanks to its Halo Control system that includes 5,000 contrast control zones, black levels look exactly how they should.

The LG B6 isn't as bright and colorful as its higher-end sibling, the C6 OLED, but it's practically overflowing with value at its price point. You're still getting perfect black levels, ultra-wide viewing angles and four HDMI 2.1 inputs that support 4K video games at 120Hz.
