LG 55" C5 4K OLED TV: was $1,999 now $1,198 at Amazon

The LG C5 OLED is built on an illustrious design that offers stellar brightness and color metrics. Self-emitting pixels allow it to spit out gorgeous contrast, and it provides a slew of features for gamers to enjoy their favorite experiences at breakneck speeds. This deal also comes with a free 1-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass, allowing you to dive into a stacked library of games directly on your TV. That's hard to beat!

Few OLED TVs excite as much as the LG C-series, and while we did get our first taste of the new LG C6 OLED at CES, there's still a lot to love when it comes to its predecessor. The LG C5 is built as the best bang for your buck on the market, providing a slew of features and performance at a great price.

One of the many aspects that makes the C5 OLED so popular, especially in relation to sports broadcasts like the forthcoming Super Bowl, is its upscaling chops. The C5 offers some of the best 4K upscaling, reenergizing lower-scaled content with far better visuals. This makes the C5 perfect not just for the Super Bowl, but also the NHL playoffs, March Madness, and so much more, as most sports content is relegated to 1080p.

Another notable highlight for the C5 is its stacked performance. In our testing, the C5 measured a 1.2 Delta-E score, which pertains to color accuracy. The lower the score, the more accurate the colors are, meaning the C5 OLED provides particularly life-like immersion, especially if you're watching in Filmmaker mode.

As expected, the C5 is also equipped with every HDR format aside from HDR10+, which is more commonly found on Samsung sets. You'll also have access to several gaming features, like ALLM, VRR, G-Sync, and FreeSync. It's also built on a 144Hz refresh rate and offers an ultra-low latency of 9.1ms. Essentially, the LG C5 ticks all the boxes for gamers, plus it even has cloud gaming services built directly into the screen.

You'd be hard-pressed to find another TV in the market that offers such a solid return on investment as the C5. It comes as no surprise that it's still holding the top spot among our best TVs, which is all due to LG's radical engineering.
