LEGO's May 4th Star Wars sale is here — 9 best deals (and free gifts) you can grab right now
Get extra loyalty points, exclusive savings and free gifts when you buy direct from LEGO
As a long-time fan of LEGO Star Wars, this time of year is basically like a second Christmas for me. The period surrounding May 4th is an absolute treasure trove of deals and offers, and considering how expensive Star Wars LEGO usually is, it's the best time to pick up that one set you've had at the top of your wish list for far too long.
While most retailers already started slashing prices earlier this week, LEGO's May 4th event kicked off earlier today (May 1). LEGO is often very stingy with the actual monetary discounts, and the actual money-off deals are easily the worst LEGO has had on May 4th for a long time.
But like any good LEGO deals event, this is an opportunity to load up on loyalty points and net yourself some free gifts in the process. And this year's gift-with-purchase might just be my favorite.
Quick Links
- 2x Insider Points on select LEGO Star Wars sets @ LEGO
- Free Darksaber set when you spend $160 or more @LEGO
- Free Razor Crest mini-build when you spend $40 on kids' sets @ LEGO
- 20% off C-3PO: was $139 now $111 @ LEGO
- 20% off Brick-Built Star Wars Logo: was $59 now $47 @ LEGO
- 20% The Mandalorian Helmet: was $69 now $55 @ LEGO
LEGO Insiders is the company's free reward program, which earns you loyalty points on every purchase. The points can be used to buy exclusive gifts, but they're also useful to get money off future purchases.
Normally, those points are equivalent to 5% of your total spend, but double points events like this mean you're getting 10% back instead. Rack up enough and you could get yourself a nice discount on your next big purchase.
Not all LEGO Star Wars sets are eligible for double points, but you can see a full list over on the LEGO website.

This is something I've been waiting years for LEGO to offer, ever since the iconic black lightsaber showed up in the season finale of The Mandalorian's first season.
The LEGO Darksaber isn't a set you can buy outright; instead, it's a bonus gift if you spend at least $160 on eligible LEGO Star Wars products. That includes sets, and other merchandise like keychains and even Lightsaber-shaped pens.
You can see a full list of eligible sets here

If $160 is too much for you to spend, LEGO is also giving away this Razor Crest mini-build if you spend $40 on eligible sets. It's styled after the new version of the ship from the movie and comprises 74 pieces.
The caveat here is that LEGO is restricting this to Star Wars sets for kids. So purchasing a set with an age rating of 16 or above, or a collection of Star Wars keychains, they won't count towards that $40 threshold.
A full list of eligible sets can be found here.

If you're a big fan of the most well-known golden droid in the galaxy, then this is the deal for you. The 1,138-piece C-3PO buildable figure is now 20% off for all LEGO Insiders, meaning you save $28 on the purchase. Just be aware that this set is not eligible for double Insiders points, but you do still get the regular 5% cashback

If you're the kind of person who needs to show off your fandom with a giant constructible logo, then LEGO's Brick-Built Star Wars Logo is also 20% off for May 4th. That's $12 off the normal price for this 700-piece display, but you only earn the usual amount of Insider points

While this set hasn't been discounted, it's actually eligible for four times the number of Insiders points — essentially netting you 20% back to spend on even more LEGO. It's 1,931 pieces, and comes with a display stand, information plaque, a TIE pilot minifigure and the 25th anniversary-branded LEGO brick.

This is another set that hasn't been discounted, but comes with the bonus of four times Insiders points instead — worth 20% cashback. The 1,513 set is almost 15 inches high, and comes with an information plaque and pilot minifigure.

LEGO releases a new Ultimate Collector's Series set every May 4th, and this year's is the N-1 Starfighter used by the Mandalorian and Grogu. The 1,809-piece set comes with minifigures of both characters, as well as a metal display styled to look like a piece of movie film.
Sadly, because this is brand new, it doesn't get any kind of discount or even double Insider's points. But it is eligible for the free Darksaber set, thanks to that $249 price tag.
