One of the most anticipated releases of 2026 has to be the long-rumored iPhone Fold, and a new leak has given us a better idea of what we could expect from Apple’s folding device.

Well-known leaker Digital Chat Station shared several alleged details about the iPhone Fold in a recent post on Weibo. The post states that the iPhone Fold won’t use either Face ID or under-display fingerprint-reading technology, but will instead use a side-mounted fingerprint sensor to help keep the phone thin. DCS also states that the hinge design for the iPhone Fold is “very strong.”

The post also details the size of the iPhone Fold’s display, with the main screen stated to measure 7.58 inches and featuring an under-display selfie camera. This matches other rumors indicating that the Fold could feature a 24MP under-display camera. Meanwhile, the front display is stated to measure 5.25 inches, but unlike the main screen will have a hole punch for its front camera.

Finally, Digital Chat Station states that the iPhone Fold will come with a 48MP dual camera setup. This could be disappointing to some, especially as most of the best foldable phones like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Z Fold 7 offer three. While we don’t know the camera setup for certain, some rumors have suggested that the iPhone Fold will only have a main camera and an ultrawide camera, lacking the telephoto seen on many other phones.

What else do we know about the iPhone Fold?

One of the stated aims Apple has with the iPhone Fold is to eliminate the crease in the folding display, which is a known issue in other foldable devices. Apple may have succeeded in this aim, as another report from Taiwan indicates the iPhone Fold will be the first truly crease-free foldable phone on the market. We’ve also heard that Apple could include a massive battery in the phone, with leaks reporting that the capacity could be around 5,000 to 5,500 mAh.

As with any leak, we should always take the information with a grain of salt. Until we have a chance to see the phone for ourselves, we can only speculate until Apple unveils it’s new devices in the coming year. Until then, let us know what you think, including if you would pick up the first foldable iPhone.
