New Zealand had looked likely to make it deep into the tournament from their opening match of the Super 12 section, in which they beat hosts Australia. After their fixture against Afghanistan was abandoned, Kane Williamson’s side went on to beat Sri Lanka and Ireland, with their only defeat coming against England.

Progress was not so straightforward for Pakistan. They lost in dramatic fashion to India in their first match of the tournament and followed up with a shock 1-run defeat to Zimbabwe. Even after wins against the Netherlands and South Africa their fate was not in their own hands until The Proteas lost to the Netherlands. Pakistan’s subsequent 5-wicket win over Bangladesh got them into the semi-finals.

Glenn Phillips is New Zealand’s top scorer with 195 runs in the tournament so far, while Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson have each taken 7 wickets. Shadab Khan has got 10 wickets for Babar Azam’s team and Shaheen Afridi seems to be finding his rhythm again. Scoring has not been easy though, with Shan Masood their highest scorer with a total of 134 runs.

The Black Caps have lost 4 of the last 5 T20 meetings between these two teams. Can they put this right? Find out by watching New Zealand vs Pakistan live stream.

The answer is to use a VPN, or virtual private network. A VPN will let you tune into your home coverage from wherever you are — meaning that if you're abroad, you can use one of the best VPN services to watch the games live as if you were in your lounge.

Our favorite right now is ExpressVPN (opens in new tab), thanks to its combination of superb speed, great customer service and excellent device support. It also offers a no-questions-asked 30-day money-back guarantee, so you could check it out without having to sign up long term.

ExpressVPN (opens in new tab)

Speed, security and simplicity combine to make ExpressVPN (opens in new tab) our favorite VPN service.
