This is the best value mattress you'll find in Amazon's Big Spring Sale — here's why you we'd snap up this DreamCloud deal

I'll admit that my team of expert mattress testers were sad to see the ultra-supportive DreamCloud Hybrid get discontinued (although we love its replacement.) Which is why I'm excited the original DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress has reappeared in the Big Spring Sale, now just $586.50 for a queen at Amazon.

During its original run, the DreamCloud Hybrid starred in our guide to the best mattresses at its regular sale price of $665 for a queen. The new Amazon discount means it's $78 cheaper than before.

The original DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress was always one one of the best mattresses in a box, especially as it offered a luxury sleep experience for $665 in a queen in the regular DreamCloud mattress sales. However, now the Amazon Big Spring Sale is taking the queen down to $586.50. While it's unclear if you'll get DreamCloud's standard 365-night sleep trial, what is clear is that you'll get 90-day refund and/or replacement, and white glove delivery.

Why we loved the original DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress

1. It supports all sleep positions

The original DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress has a firm feel that leaves all kind of sleepers well supported. Side sleepers may need to give the DreamCloud a chance to be 'broken in' but should come to appreciate how the balance of comfort and support contours the hips and shoulders.

Stomach sleepers will especially like the original DreamCloud, as our original review pointed out that front-sleeping testers felt that their spine always felt properly aligned.

One tester even noted that while they were used to their hips sinking on "most other beds", that wasn't a problem on the DreamCloud.

Overall, the DreamCloud Mattress one of the best mattress for stomach sleepers, but back and side sleepers will get along well with it, too.

2. It's great for back and joint pain

Thanks to its firm lumbar support, our testing panel rated the DreamCloud among the best mattresses for back pain.

In fact, one tester prone to back pain said the DreamCloud alleviated pressure in the lower back while another praised how "the gentle contouring meant there was none of the numb 'dead hip' feeling that can afflict side sleepers".

3. It sleeps comfortably cool

Despite not being a dedicated cooling model like the best cooling mattresses, our review said that "sleepers prone to overheating found that it did an excellent job at keeping them at a comfortable temperature."

The great temperature regulation is likely due to the air-flow boosting coils found in the best hybrid mattresses, while the cashmere cover is breathable and moisture-wicking.

If you prefer a plusher mattress...

While the original DreamCloud Hybrid is a great pick for stomach sleepers and those who like a firmer mattress, we love its softer successor, too.

The brand new DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress also offers that hotel quality for less and sleeps cool, but our testers all agree that its plusher feel is better suited to side sleepers. Here's a closer look at the deal...

The DreamCloud Hybrid is not only one of the best luxury mattresses on the market, it's also a cost-effective luxury mattress. Starting from just $349 for a twin, the DreamCloud Hybrid is always under $700 for a queen size. You're also guaranteed great benefits when you shop directly from DreamCloud: a 365-night sleep trial, a lifetime warranty, and free shipping and returns.
