Sijo AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set: Review in Brief
SIJO (pronounced “see-joe”) is a bedding brand named for a Korean form of poetry. The SIJO home company prides itself on bedding and sleep products that are ethically grown and manufactured while keeping sustainability and environmental concerns at the forefront of their company mission.
Their bestselling SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus sheet set includes a fitted sheet and two pillowcases (or one for twin and twin XL sizes), and the option to add a flat/top sheet for an additional cost. With a starting price of $95 for a twin fitted sheet and one pillowcase ($145 if you add a flat/top sheet), these aren’t the cheapest you’ll find, but if you’re looking for bed sheets that help you stay cool with a weightless, liquid-like, we think you’ll enjoy trying these.
Our tester slept on the SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus king size fitted sheet with a flat sheet (MSRP $215, including two pillowcases) for two weeks to assess their overall comfort and to establish if these sheets are worth the investment. We tested these bed sheets against key parameters, such as fit, feel, breathability and durability to help you decide.
A visit to the Sijohome website results in offers of 15% off to 20% off when you fill out their quiz and share an email address so it’s likely that there’s almost always a discount to be had on these bed sheets.
Price: $145 - $215 (with a flat sheet)
Pocket depth: 16 inches
Sizes: 6 (twin to Cal king)
Warranty: 1 year
Trial: 60 day return period
Materials: TENCEL™ Lyocell Eucalyptus
Machine washable: Yes
Based on our experience, we award these sheets with an impressive overall 4.8 stars out of 5. They are silky, easy to maintain, feel cool, come highly-reviewed from customers, good for those with allergies or asthma, and are both machine washable and dryer friendly, as well as being priced well.
As per our bed sheet testing methodology, we put these sheets through two wash and dry cycles, once at the start of the testing period and once at the end. The sheets felt great after each wash, maybe slightly softer but the rich color held up and their silky quality was maintained.
These sheets are a great cooling option for those who are hot sleepers, sweaty sleepers looking for wicking properties, someone who has allergies or people with asthma, or a sleeper who wants that va-va-voom silky feel on their bed sheets.

We liked that they were easy to slip on the mattress and stayed put well. Are the SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set worth $185 for a queen size fitted sheet, two pillowcases and top sheet? Here's our review of the sheets in closer detail.
Sijo AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set: Price & deals
The SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus sheet set starts from $95 for a twin/twin XL and one pillowcase, increasing to $145 when you add the top/flat sheet. The queen size (with a top/flat sheet) is priced at $185 and comes with two pillow cases.
Considering average bedding prices, this clearly sits in the medium price category which we think is a good deal for the luxury feel.
The set comes in 12 colors and there's also one white and gray striped option. Unlike some bedding brands, there's no difference in price depending on the color (or pattern) you select.
At the time of writing, SIJO has a 20% off sitewide anniversary sale, which reduces the twin set to $76 without the additional flat sheet, and $116 with it. A queen-size set without the flat sheet is reduced to $88, and if you add the flat sheet, the reduced price is $148. It's also worth checking Black Friday sales, as bigger discounts may be available.
By contrast, the Cozy Earth Bamboo sheet set costs $308 MSRP for a queen set including a flat sheet, fitted sheet and two pillowcases, though the current 20% sale has that price down to $246.40.
The Olive + Crate Luxury Series Queen Bedding Set (also made from eucalyptus-derived Tencel fibers) is similarly priced to the SIJO sheet set at $159.99 for a queen set (fitted sheet, flat sheet and two pillowcases) on Amazon.
You can also buy the the SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus fitted and flat sheets separately if you don't want the pillowcases or the whole set. These are currently included in the 20% off sale, and we've also seen certain colors of the flat sheet have ‘final sales’ of 30 percent (taking the Twin/Twin XL) down to $42. So it’s worth it to sign up for their emails to get discounts from 10 to 20% off and scour the “Final Sale” section of the site for additional savings.
Prices on Amazon seem to be comparable to the website, and there was a 15% discount on the set at the time of writing. While SIJO didn’t make the cut for our best Amazon Prime Day Bedding Deals but they might have Black Friday mattress sale deals to take advantage of this year.

Sijo AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set: Design & materials
This sustainable, performance cooling sheet set is hypoallergenic and made from cooling TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers (aka fibers made from eucalyptus wood) which is how this soft sheet helps wick away moisture and keeps you cool. It’s sourced in Central Europe and constructed in China or India.
The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified sheets are great for those with sensitive skin and sensitive noses and lungs as they are hypoallergenic. The eucalyptus fibers naturally help the sheets resist allergens. It should also make your asthma doctor happy to learn they’re National Allergy and Asthma Foundation certified.
We tested these sheets during a hot August and September in New York — yes, we slept in air conditioning — but they kept our testers cool, we didn’t wake up feeling sweaty or clammy and the sheets didn’t feel like they were sweaty or gross, either. It’s said that these SIJO sheets can absorb 70% more moisture than cotton so they’re a nice cooling option for hot sleepers.
Not only are these sheets working hard to keep you cool but they do it while feeling lightweight and soft. SIJO’s website says they weigh 130 grams per square meter (GSM) which keeps them feeling light — so it’s easy to move around under them while you sleep. The SIJO company doesn’t share a thread count since that’s a number which tend to be higher for cotton and lower for lyocell material. Take our word for it: They’re soft.
While our tester only washed them twice for this review — and their color and texture was just as good as it was out of the box — SIJO’s site says these bed sheets have been tested to withstand 2,000 revolutions in the washer so they won’t pill.
Sijo AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set: Performance
We tested the SIJO sheet set in a pretty forest green color for two weeks and assessed it in terms of feel, how tough the sheets were to care for, and more. Scroll down to know more...
How they feel
The SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set will get a reaction for the silky feel from anyone who gets to lie on or slip under these sheets. They felt smooth, cool, and like a silk robe upon unpacking. We liked that they had their own bag made from the same material.
They have a slight sheen to them but not a blinding light reflection. The sheets felt fluid and had silky, drapey feel. One tester said, “Wow, these are slippery,” upon lying down on them but to be fair, he’s never slept on sheets made of silky materials. They could feel a bit too slippery for some.
Score: 4.8 out of 5
How they fit
Sliding the SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet set on was so easy. When the fitted sheet fits over a king-size 12-inch mattress without a lot of pulling, reconfiguring, and stretching to make them work, it’s a good experience.
The sheets reached the bottom of the mattress and skimmed the box spring on either side of the bed equally which makes for less fighting over the sheets at night while partners sleep.
The sheets didn’t slip off the mattress during the night and it was easy to make the bed each morning. We liked that the two pillow cases had the same cooling feel – so important when your head hits that pillow at night — and they were roomy enough for our tester’s large pillows.
Score: 5 out of 5
Temperature Regulation
Testing these in the hot summer months in New York was perfect for getting a better understanding as to how these sheets felt and worked.
Although our testers had never tried TENCEL-based bedding before, they liked the cool feel of these sheets. They slept well on these cool sheets for hot sleepers, not noticing any sweat stains or clamminess, or waking up in the middle of the night feeling hot and sweaty while under these sheets and a comforter.
The sheets are supposed to absorb 70% more moisture than cotton so if you’re a hot sleeper or someone who experiences hot flashes while you sleep, we think they’d be a great cooling option to sleep under.
Score: 5 out of 5
Durability
After two wash cycles and two weeks of consistent use, these sheets looked and felt similar to how they were upon unboxing. If anything, they felt slightly softer which can only be a good thing.
During our testing we didn’t notice shrinkage of the sheets, pilling, rips, or problems maintaining them.
Score: 5 out of 5
Ease of care

As a sleep product tester, I always check the tags for how to properly care for sheets and bedding. It was nice that the care instructions were also on the provided bag for the sheets, recommending one washes them cool on a gentle cycle with similar colors. The drying instructions are to tumble dry low and remove right away.
I didn’t move fast enough getting them from the dryer right away so after sitting in the dryer another few hours, they did have wrinkles while putting them on my mattress. (It’s not something I care deeply about and I suspect if I did a further low tumble setting it would have fixed that, and this bedding can be ironed on a low temperature if you so wish). The care instructions also recommend not using bleach or fabric softeners, and to be mindful not to wash them with clothes that have zippers or Velcro.

Sijo AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set: User reviews
The SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set is noted as the “best seller” on the company’s website and has garnered an almost 5 star rating from 3,010+ reviews on the site.
The average customer rating is as follows:
- SIJO user rating: 4.8/5 stars (3,010+ reviews)
- Amazon user rating: 4.1/5 stars (950+ reviews)
At the time of writing this review, the product page for this sheet set includes a 4.9/5 stars rating that it attributes to almost 3,000 reviews. However, the review section itself has a small number of 5 star reviews spanning only seven months back, meaning there's no way to know what the (admittedly small) number of negative reviews said to cause the product to be 0.2 stars shy of full marks.
However, among the 5 star reviews available, users praised the softness and quality of the sheets, and commented on how cool they slept while using them.
Customer reviews on Amazon included 65% giving the set 5 stars, with users again noting just how soft and cooling they found the SIJO sheet set, but those who gave the sheets a low score noted that they found these sheets to be expensive, others said that it retained sweat and body oils more than cotton sheets, and some users said they lose their sheen after a few months of washing.
Should you buy the Sijo AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set?
Based on our tester's experience, we found the SIJO AiryWeight Eucalyptus Sheet Set to have a sexy, silky feel with good cooling elements for hot sleepers.
The sheets fit well on our king-sized mattress (12 inches) and the fabric was also easy to maintain, as it's both machine washable and dryer-friendly.
However, a 60-night trial and one-year warranty aren’t as good as some other brands, like Cozy Earth’s 100-night trial and 10-year warranty.
