The bed topper I always use to boost my memory foam mattress is still on sale, and right now you can get 27% off the Birch Plush Organic Mattress Topper with code TOMS27 at Birch, saving you over $143 on a queen size.
Some of the best mattresses of 2025 are made of organic latex, but the Plush Organic Mattress Topper from Birch allows you to experience that eco-luxury comfort for less.
The Plush Organic Mattress Topper is one of the best mattress toppers around for reducing the unsupportive sink-in feel of a too-soft memory foam mattress. Plus this 27% discount code is about to expire any second, so I suggest grabbing it while you can in this month's mattress sales.
Birch Plush Organic Mattress Topper: twin was $372 now $271.56 at Birch
The Birch Organic Mattress Topper is our top latex pick on our best mattress toppers guide, and I praised its universal support, soft responsiveness, and responsibly-sourced materials in my Birch Plush Organic Mattress Topper review. While it could live up to its "plush" title a little more, it's still an ideal mattress topper if your memory foam bed feels more like quicksand than a hug. The Birch Topper is made from natural latex, which is known for its springy comfort that's easy to move around on. Plus, with a queen size down to $388.36 from $532 with our TOMS27 code, it's a much cheaper alternative to one of the best organic mattresses. Extras include a generous 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty.
Our review: ★★★★
Why is a latex mattress topper good for a memory foam bed?
While you can technically put a memory foam mattress topper on a memory foam bed, I don't recommend it. The thickness of a memory foam mattress topper is not necessary for a memory foam mattress, and may even add too much height to your bed.
Plus, common reasons for wanting to add a topper to a memory foam mattress is to boost its support, make it firmer, make it cooler, or to change the memory foam "hug", which some sleepers find too restrictive.
Latex, on the other hand, is perfect for changing the feel of a memory foam mattress. It's naturally breathable and cooler, it has a bouncier, less restrictive feel, it's more durable and less prone to sagging, and it's firmer and more supportive.
For example, the Birch Plush Organic Mattress Topper supported me in all sleep positions, keeping my lower back and hips upright while sleeping on my back or stomach, and providing enough soothing support for my shoulders when I slept on my side.
