Forget robot vacuums — Ecovacs' most exciting product at CES 2026 was its upcoming AI-powered pet companion

CES 2026 is shaping up to be a good'un, with a suite of hot new items already piquing our interest here at Tom's Guide. In an unsurprising move, Ecovacs has revealed its next generation of robotic products, aiming to accelerate the brand's transition into a "full-scenario service" — and I’ll explain exactly what that means.

Unsurprisingly, the brand is debuting new robot vacuums, a window cleaner, and a lawn mower, which are all upgrades to previous iterations of existing products. While the new lineup is impressive — the new Deebot X12 Pro Omni and Deebot X12 family deliver major improvements to mopping performance through a refined roller design — they aren't groundbreaking for an industry leader like Ecovacs.

Creating "digital companionship"

Arguably, the most intriguing introduction Ecovacs made during its CES presentation was the announcement of LilMilo — an AI-powered pet companion. According to Ecovacs, the robotic dog combines multi-sensory perception with expressive, pet-like behavior — all of which adds up to introduce a new form of digital companionship.

Not only does this move feel somewhat futuristic and out of an old 2000s sci-fi adventure film, but it also opens the door to AI-for-good capabilities. The AI-companion is designed to resemble a small, fluffy dog, and while it won't replace real fluffy dogs, its sole purpose is to bring joy to its owner. Using advanced AI and biometrics, the robot pup will learn from its user by recognising habits and voices, and use those traits to develop its own personality over time.

And given that most sane people tend to name (and develop an emotional attachment to) their robot vacuums, there's no doubt in my mind that people will take to LilMilo — especially considering the likelihood of cleaning up after a robot pet is incredibly slim.

Smarter, not harder pool cleaning

Building on its full-service suite of new goodies, Ecovacs' Ultramarine robotic pool cleaner has been engineered to simplify pool maintenance. This is the brand's first step into aquatic pool care, and joins the already wildly popular Ecovacs Goat A and O series in the outdoor care space.

Using advanced environment recognition and path-planning capabilities, the Ultramarine can tackle everything from fine debris to stubborn stains, ensuring your pool water remains crystal clear. Much like other Ecovacs products, the Ultramarine will be wirelessly controlled by an app, so it's safe to assume that you can set it to auto-clean your pool at any given time. The brand hasn't divulged all the details yet, but as per the images shown at CES, it seems to be a totally cord-free operation.

Pricing for the Ultramarine and LilMilo hasn't been announced yet, nor have the release dates, but I'll keep you posted when these new Ecovacs appliances come to market.
