Don't wait for Black Friday — this air fryer is a Thanksgiving must-have, and it's 25% off today
Black Friday is a month away, and while we typically see epic deals on air fryers and other kitchen gadgets, there's one major downside to waiting for the big day to make your purchase. Without my air fryer, I'd find it impossible to cook for guests over the holidays. And the Dreo ChefMaker is my top pick if you want a capable kitchen sidekick to steam sprouts, roast carrots or crisp up a casserole this Thanksgiving.
Best of all, the Dreo ChefMaker is 25% off on Amazon right now, making it $269 after a $90 saving.
When we reviewed this air fryer, the only downside we could find was its steep price point, so this 25% saving is not to be missed. With a temperature probe, viewing window and even steam cooking, it's the smartest air fryer I've tried.
I've been using this air fryer for a year since I first tested it for our best air fryer guide, and it's still going strong.
The feature I love the most is its steam setting, which I use to prepare veggies and cook chicken breasts without drying them out. I also love to use its smart temperature probe, which makes it impossible to under- (or over-) cook your meat.
Why I love the Dreo ChefMaker Air Fryer
I've got this air fryer in my own kitchen, but our full review was written by our capable freelancer, Helen McCue. I've been working with Helen for years, and she doesn't give out top ratings lightly, so her 4.5-star review should tell you just how good this fryer is.
In the review, Helen used this air fryer to cook everything from cake to steak, and it aced every test thanks to its intuitive cooking modes and the smart meat thermometer that can be paired with the touch control panel.
It's great at air frying, but it can also steam cook and features a combi setting to crisp up meats without drying them out. Its Chef Mode allows you to follow step-by-step recipes from your phone, and even monitor your food using the built-in meat thermometer.
Out of all the features that come with the Dreo ChefMaker, it was the Chef Mode that impressed us the most. It comes with a range of step-by-step video-guided recipes, and a temperature probe that allows you to monitor your meal remotely.
The air fryer will even stop cooking when your food reaches its desired doneness, which is how we achieved some unbelievably tasty steaks without any of the stress when we tried this machine.
While it's smart, it's also good at the basics. When we used it to make French fries, one of the standard tests we do with every air fryer we review, they came out incredibly crisp and evenly browned. And when using steam combi cooking, we were even able to make a delicious cake with the surprisingly wide cooking basket.
