If you always forget to charge your Switch controller, this is the one Presidents' Day gaming deal I'd grab

Wireless controllers are great — until you forget to charge them after a long gaming session, that is. I don't know if I'm just particularly forgetful, but it's one of those gaming annoyances that I've fallen foul of so many times, and it totally negates the convenience of not being shackled to a cable. And if that's a problem you also face, there's a Switch and Switch 2 controller deal I'd jump on at Amazon.

Right now, the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Switch and Switch 2 controller is on sale for $39 at Amazon. That's a 33% discount on one of our favorite Switch 2 controllers, and the one we rated highest for battery life, as it offers up to 40 hours of playtime between charges. That's the same amount of time that Nintendo says you'll get out of the Switch 2 Pro Controller, but for less than half the price.

Forget battery life woes with a $20 discount on this great third-party Switch controller this Presidents' Day. The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless is an ergonomic way to elevate your gaming experience, and comes in several officially licensed colorways (I think the Donkey Kong Country-themed Black/Green one's my favorite). It offers customizable back buttons, responsive thumbsticks and triggers, and comparable battery life to Nintendo's Switch 2 Pro controller... but at a significantly lower price point.

In our full Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless review, reviewer Nikita Achanta offered a 4-star verdict on the controller, writing: "The Rematch Wireless features extremely responsive analog thumbsticks and triggers, and comes with two back buttons that can be quickly remapped on the fly, and they make games more immersive. They also contribute to the controller’s ergonomics, and boy, is this a comfy gamepad."

While it is missing some of the Switch 2 Pro Controller's features (no C button to launch GameChat, no rumble, for example), the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless delivers where it counts. Up to 40 hours of battery life should keep you bashing your way through Donkey Kong Bananza's biomes (or locked into any of the best Switch 2 games) for ages, even if you forget to plug it in.

It's also a worthwhile investment for Nintendo Switch owners who haven't yet bought a new console, as the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless controller is compatible with the entire Switch ecosystem. If you're planning to pick up any new Switch games and you know you'll want to spend dozens of hours in front of your system, this is the Presidents' Day gaming deal I'd recommend.
