Wales vs Japan Game Preview
After a turbulent year, Wales head coach Steve Tandy will be desperate to steady the ship for the national side. Earlier this year, this Welsh side slipped to 12th in the world rankings and can't afford another gut-wrenching upset. Japan are ranked one place below Tandy's side and will see a victory against Wales as a perfect way to climb the rankings.
Tandy has put his mark on this Welsh side immediately, naming Dewi Lake as his captain and recalling star, Louis Rees-Zammit to add some pace to his backline. With a young backline in Aaron Wainwright, Alex Mann and Olly Cracknell, Wales will look to bolster their strength at the breakdown, which let them down against Argentina.
This Japan side have troubled Wales before, and under the guidance of Eddie Jones, will look to bring their trademark tempo to the field on Saturday. Earlier this year, Japan beat Wales in Tokyo and their speed could prove too much for Wales if the home side can't control possession.
