Since their shaky start they've won five of six, and both their offense and their defense worked like well-oiled machines in the 28–7 win over the Commanders last time out. Mahomes threw three touchdowns in the second half alone, with multiple receivers getting in on the act. One of those was Travis Kelce, who rediscovered his groove with 99 yards and a score.
The Bills' 40–9 beatdown of the Panthers was by far their best display of the season, but it's going to take more than that to forget the two-game skid that preceded their bye. Especially as it was James Cook who ran the show with 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Buffalo's pass rush was outstanding too, but Ed Oliver, the team's joint-leader for sacks has been ruled out of this Chiefs game with a biceps injury.
As good as they looked last weekend, the Bills have surrendered the second-most rushing yards per game in the NFL this season, and their receivers are still nowhere to be found.
