Best Prime Video top 10 shows — here’s the top 3 series to binge-watch this week (April 29 - May 5)
Time to refresh your Prime Video watchlist with these shows
Just because something’s trending on Prime Video doesn’t mean it’s good. With the top 10 changing by the week and fresh titles added all the time, finding a real standout takes a bit more effort. Before you know it, you’ve spent more time scrolling than watching. Luckily, there are a few great series that make the decision a whole lot easier.
Every week, I comb through Prime Video’s charts to find the shows that actually deserve your time. With several shows returning for new seasons and rolling out weekly episodes, others have also resurfaced in the trending list due to recent attention.
Leading the pack is a savage superhero drama refusing to budge from No. 1 after its final season, another intense superhero-related series in animation form, and a romantic drama set to expand from a three-season Prime Video series into a feature-length film.

Best shows in the Prime Video top 10
‘The Boys’
It’s Wednesday, which means “The Boys” season 5 has dropped a new episode. It’s a bittersweet time to be a fan, because not only is this final season intense and stressful, but it’s also a fittingly chaotic way for one of the most subversive shows on TV to go out. Season 5 still packs in the shock value we’ve come to expect, but it also has a real beating heart that’s sure to stick around even after the series ends.
Following the shocking events of the season 4 finale, “The Boys” find themselves at their lowest point. With Homelander (Antony Starr) effectively seizing control of the United States government and the “Superhuman Oversight” act in full swing, the team has been dismantled and hunted. The final season centers on a desperate, high-stakes clandestine war. While the remaining members of the team attempt to regroup from the shadows, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) pursues a scorched-earth policy to eliminate Supes forever.

‘Invincible’
“Invincible” season 4 recently wrapped up with its eighth episode, meaning this brutal superhero series is over for now, but it does mean you can binge-watch the entire season if you haven’t already. Fans have been particularly vocal about the finale's cliffhanger, so if you're planning to watch it, you might want to stay off social media to avoid the inevitable screenshots of that final scene!
The world is reeling from the catastrophic aftermath of the “Invincible War.” A battle-hardened Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) struggles with immense guilt as many of Earth’s heroes have fallen. The season focuses on the arrival of Thragg (Lee Pace), the ruthless leader of the Viltrumites, as the brewing conflict between the Coalition of Planets and the Viltrum Empire erupts into all-out war. Mark must balance his duty to Earth, his growing responsibilities to his family, and a tenuous reunion with his father, Nolan (J. K. Simmons), to prevent total planetary extinction.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’
It’s not random that “The Summer I Turned Pretty” has jumped back into the top 10. As of this week, production on the movie has officially kicked off in Wilmington, North Carolina (the real-life Cousins Beach). If you weren’t aware, news broke less than 24 hours after the season 3 finale aired that a film was in the works, with creator Jenny Han confirming the story wasn’t over and would conclude with a feature-length movie instead of a fourth season. I guess we’re all feeling the summer fever.
Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) is a teenager who spends every July at Cousins Beach with her mother, brother, and her mother’s lifelong friend, Susannah Fisher. For years, Belly has been the tag-along younger sister to Susannah's two sons, the moody Conrad (Christopher Briney) and the dependable Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Everything changes when Belly turns sixteen and finds herself at the center of a complicated love triangle with the two brothers.
