Netflix is adding 22 new movies, shows and live events to the streaming service this week, but there's one returning show that's sure to be the first one on your watchlist. "Beef" is back for season 2, and if that name sounds familiar, it should. This limited series about a case of road rage gone wrong was so successful that they turned it into an anthology series about devastating fights. This time, instead of Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, it's Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan who will be starring, and you definitely won't want to miss that.
You also won't want to miss "Roommates." This movie is the biggest new original movie hitting Netflix this week, and while it's not starring a familiar face, it is starring a familiar name. This coming-of-age comedy stars Sadie Sandler and was produced by her father, Adam. So if she's going to have a breakout moment, this film could be it.
Those aren't the only movies, shows and live events to add to your watchlist this week, though. Here's the full schedule of everything new on Netflix over the next seven days, along with my top picks for what you need to stream.

New on Netflix this week: Top picks
'Beef' season 2
Genre: Comedy-drama miniseries
What it's about: Josh (Oscar Isaac) is a country club manager who seems to have a charmed life. But he and his wife, Lindsay (Carey Mulligan), have a massive fight that could blow up their marriage, or worse. In fact, things get much worse when they catch one of his employees, Ashley (Cailee Spaeny), and her fiancé, Austin (Charles Melton), fleeing into the woods after witnessing the fight.
Why you should watch it: "Beef" is all about how just a single outburst of anger can have long-ranging consequences, and telling the story with a loaded cast. Season 1 won an Emmy for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series; with a cast that features Isaac, Mulligan, Spaeny and Melton, I won't be surprised if it becomes a repeat winner for season 2.

'Roommates'
Genre: Comedy movie
What it's about: Devon (Sadie Sandler) and Celeste (Chloe East) are new college roommates, which is always a tricky situation. You can end up the best of friends, or you can end up hating the person you live with. Their relationship starts as the former, but it devolves into a passive-aggressive conflict.
Why you should watch it: If Sadie Sandler is going to become a lead actress, then this movie will need to be good, or at least funny. With her dad, Adam, in charge as a co-producer, I'm hopeful it'll manage at least the latter.
Watch "Roommates" on Netflix starting April 17
'Noah Kahan: Out of Body'
Genre: Documentary movie
What it's about: Noah Kahan became one of the biggest stars in the music business with his breakout album, "Stick Season." But that fame eats at his insecurities, and this documentary follows him during the tour that followed the "Stick Season" release, including a return to his home state of Vermont.
Why you should watch it: You could watch this to see an in-depth self-examination of what sudden fame can do to a man. Or, you could watch it to dive deeper into the singer-songwriter's music. Either way, if you're a fan of Kahan, this documentary is a must-watch.
Watch "Noah Kahan: Out of Body" on Netflix starting on April 13
'Untold: Jail Blazers'
Genre: Sports documentary movie
What it's about: The Portland Trailblazers are often the overlooked West Coast NBA franchise, but they've had some moments. There's the 1977 NBA Championship they won, but then there's the "Jail Blazers." This roster from the late 90s and early 2000s was talented, but also struggled to stay on the right side of the law. It didn't help that they couldn't behave on the court either.
Why you should watch it: Real NBA fans already know of this Blazers team led by Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudamire and Bonzi Wells. The Jail Blazers were a legit contender, and maybe could have won a championship if they could stay out of trouble (Wallace would ultimately win a ring with the Detroit Pistons in 2004). If you want a story about a team we've never seen the like of since, definitely check out this sports doc.
Watch "Untold: Jail Blazers" on Netflix starting April 14
'Million Dollar Secret' season 2
Genre: Reality competition series
What it's about: Well-spoken English actor Peter Serafinowicz hosts 12 contestants hoping to win $1 million. The money is in a box, and that box is in one of their rooms. Now, whoever has the cash, just needs to eliminate the others before someone takes it.
Why you should watch it: If you like "The Traitors," this hunt for money is loaded with the sort of messy betrayals you know and love. Plus, you even get an erudite host from the British Isles.
Watch "Million Dollar Secret" season 2 on Netflix starting April 15
'A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough'
Genre: Documentary movie
What it's about: Today, Sir David Attenborough is known as the premier nature documentary presenter. But this documentary goes back to the beginning and tells the remarkable story of his first encounter with the baby gorilla Pablo. Then it brings things back to the present day, showing how that gorilla grew up to be an alpha Silverback.
Why you should watch it: This documentary is intimate and chronicles not just Pablo's life, but also shows how Pablo’s direct descendants are doing today. For those who love a nature doc, Netflix promises "extraordinary gorilla behavior never filmed before," so you won't want to miss that.
Watch "A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough" on Netflix starting April 16
'Alpha Males' season 5
Genre: Spanish comedy series
What it's about: "Alpha Males" follows four male friends: Santi (Gorka Otxoa), Luis (Fele Martínez), Pedro (Fernando Gil) and Raúl (Raúl Tejón). These four are in their 40s and are discovering that the privilege they enjoyed as younger men is disappearing as societal change empowers women. In this season, they're dealing with the realities of single life and living alone, while their former female partners do the same.
Why you should watch it: This comedy is all about out-of-touch men forced to adapt, and unsurprisingly, that doesn't always go smoothly. But it also shows how the men's behavior impacts the women around them, and how those women respond, so there's something for everyone in this Spanish comedy series.
