Netflix’s movie library just got a major refresh with the streaming service adding more than 40 flicks to kick-start June 2026. On the one hand, that’s great to have so much choice, but on the other, too much choice can come with an unwelcome side-effect: decision paralysis.

One of the best ways to determine which new to Netflix movies are worthy of your watching is to check out how they rank on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. A high score isn’t a guarantee that an individual movie will appeal to you, but it’s a good indicator of the general opinion on a movie and serves as a solid starting point for picking out the gems.

If that's too much work, fear not; I’ve put in the legwork for you and found five new Netflix movies that all scored at least 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Here are the highest-rated movies added to the streamer this month.

‘Creed’ (2015)

“Creed” is perhaps the quintessential example of a legacy sequel done right. Helmed by “Sinners” director Ryan Coogler and marking his second collaboration with Oscar-winner Michael B. Jordan, this 2015 sports drama takes the “Rocky” franchise forward in a way that both feels refreshing and respectful of the series legacy. These are fighting words, but there is a strong argument that “Creed” might be the best “Rocky” movie ever.

Adonis “Donnie” Johnson (Jordan) is the son of former champion boxer Apollo Creed. Donnie never knew his father, but has inherited his fighting spirit. Pursuing his own dreams of being a champion, he seeks out Apollo’s old rival, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), to be his trainer. Their bond becomes much stronger than boxer/coach, with both learning life lessons from each other. It all culminates in Donnie's first shot at a title fight.

‘Rocky’ (1976)

Netflix has become the streaming home of the “Rocky” series this month, adding the entire series, and while “Creed” is my personal favorite of the bunch, if you’re new to the world of Rocky Balboa, you really should start with the original. This legendary sports drama turned Sylvester Stallone into a star, and the fascinating behind-the-scenes story mirrors the stirring underdog tale on the screen. It’s a movie that will have you fist-pumping in satisfaction.

The titular Rocky Balboa (Stallone) is a no-name boxer working as a collector for a loan shark, but he's got very big dreams. When the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), offers the chance for a local contender to face him, Rocky gets his shot at the big time. Rocky’s training for the fight of his life comes at the same time he begins a relationship and starts to fall hard for Adrian (Taila Shire). “Rocky” is an underdog story for the ages.

‘Little Miss Sunshine’ (2006)

“Little Miss Sunshine” is an utterly charming, screwball comedy that proves families can be messy but worth the hassle in the end. Its cast list is particularly notable, featuring Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Paul Dano, Abigail Breslin and the late Alan Arkin. It turns 20 this year, making it a great time to revisit or meet the Hoover family for the first time.

Described as a comedy that “puts the ‘fun’ in dysfunctional” (a line so good, I had to include it here), “Little Miss Sunshine” sees the Hoover clan pile into a battered VW camper van to head to California so their youngest (Breslin) can compete in a child beauty pageant. Once on the road, the family’s quirks spill out, and their interstate trip becomes quite the journey.

‘Poor Things’ (2023)

“Poor Things” is a unique dark comedy that could only come from the mind of director Yorgos Lanthimos. Emma Stone won an Oscar for her leading role, while the movie itself was nominated for a host of awards, including Best Picture. It’s twistedly funny and framed against some stunning backdrops that look ripped straight from a painting. Mark Ruffalo also gives perhaps my favorite performance of his entire career. What’s not to like?

Based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray, which is itself a spin on the classic Gothic tale “Frankenstein,” the movie opens in Victorian-era London, where a mad scientist (Willem Dafoe) has replaced the brain of a recently deceased woman with the brain of a baby. The result is Bella (Stone), a grown woman with the mind of a child. When she runs off with a lawyer (Ruffalo), she embarks on a journey of self-discovery to find her place.

'André Is an Idiot' (2026)

Who exactly is the André in question? That would be André Ricciardi. And why exactly is he an idiot? That would be because he foolishly skipped what could have been a life-saving colonoscopy, only to receive a terminal cancer diagnosis. This documentary, made as a collaboration between André himself and director Tony Benna, aims to take a comedic approach to truly devastating news.

Described as “unexpected, irreverent, and definitely heartfelt,” “André Is an Idiot” combines traditional documentary footage with surreal, fantastical stop-motion animation to give viewers insight into André’s mind and perspective on mortality. It’s a documentary that tackles a morbid topic, but does so with a smile on its face, as André resolves to face terminal cancer and the knowledge that he has a finite amount of time left with an openness and humor that is seriously inspirational.
