I ditched my iPad and Kindle for this tablet with a paper-like display — and it's up to 39% off for Prime Day

I still remember the first time I laid eyes on one of TCL’s NXTPAPER tablets at a mall in Taiwan. What caught me off guard was that despite the bright overhead lighting, its screen was completely glare free. However, it wasn’t until I pressed the NXTPAPER button on the side that I realized what made this tablet truly unique.

Unlike one of the best iPads, TCL’s NXPAPER tablets are designed to prevent eye-strain while giving you an improved reading experience. With the push of a button on the side, you can switch between three viewing modes: Regular Mode, Color Paper Mode and Ink Paper Mode.

With Ink Paper Mode enabled, the device transforms from a standard Android tablet into a black and white slate with a reading experience on par with one of the best Kindles. This also extends the tablet’s battery so you can keep reading even longer.

This 11-inch tablet feels snappier thanks to its upgraded processor, 120 Hz display and 8GB of RAM. It comes with 256GB of storage and an 8,000 mAh battery which you can quickly recharge thanks to 33W fast charging. You also get a stylus and case in the box too. If you have the budget, I’d recommend spending a bit more on this tablet over the NXTPAPER 11 Gen 2 for a smoother overall experience.

I’ve been using both the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Gen 2 and the much larger TCL NXTPAPER 14 since the beginning of the year. While I love them both, the 11-inch one is great for slipping in a bag while the 14-inch one is perfect when you want a bigger screen at home.

These tablets aren’t just for reading though, as they also come with a stylus in the box for drawing or taking handwritten notes. Likewise, I’ve heard that many musicians like using the larger NXTPAPER 14 for reading sheet music while they practice.

Right now, you can save up to 39% on TCL’s NXTPAPER tablets thanks to Prime Day. If you’ve been looking for a more budget-friendly iPad alternative or don’t want to be bothered keeping a separate e-reader charged, they’re definitely worth checking out. And at this price, there’s never been a better time to give NXTPAPER a try for yourself.
