Google promised this productivity-boosting feature for Keep last April — but it's finally happening
Reminders are now being integrated with Google Tasks

Google has finally made good on a promise it originally made last April, as in the year 2024. Way back then, the company announced that it would be linking together Google Keep and the Tasks app.
This meant that reminders from one of the best note taking apps will start appearing in your to-do list.
Almost 18 months later, that promise is actually being kept. Google confirmed the integration was still on the cards back in July, promising it would take place in late 2025, and has started offering more concrete details on how the change will roll out. In fact, it sounds like Tasks will be connecting to more than just Keep.
Keep reminders will automatically be saved to the Tasks app, while also linking up with Calendar and Gemini via the Tasks extension. In other words, you've got plenty of places to remind you about all the chores and tasks you need to complete.
According to Google, "whether you’re saving something from Keep, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Docs, or Gemini, Google Tasks will make sure it’s up to date and accessible across the Workspace products you use."
Crucially, though, this won't stop you from being able to make and set reminders in the Keep app. The change only means that they will be linked to other Google services, to keep a unified list of stuff you need to do.
Google claims that this new migration is already happening, but it will take 15+ days to actually be visible to all users. Google also confirmed the feature will be switched on by default, and tapping the bell icon in Google Keep notes will make it clear that "Your reminders are saved in Google Tasks." So if you were worried about things not working correctly, you don't need to keep obsessively checking the Tasks app.
