We know that the Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold is coming, but what we don't know is whether it's actually going to be widely available. Some rumors claimed that the triple-folding phone would only be available in China and South Korea, but a new report suggests this may not be the case.
Sources speaking to SamMobile claim that the upcoming foldable will be available in other regions as well. The report specifically mentions the UAE, but also suggests that it could also come to other countries — including the U.S.
The report speculates that this could be down to Samsung being impressed with the Tri-Fold's capabilities, and wants to market it to more people as a result. But it still sounds like there's a bit of uncertainty as to how wide the release will actually be.
Then again, considering how expensive a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is, the number of people who can afford a tri-fold phone is going to be relatively low. We don't know how much it's going to cost just yet, but I guarantee that it won't be cheap.
What to expect from Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold
We know the Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold will be released at some point later this year, though we don't know when. We also know that it should have two inward-folding hinges, in a similar way to the Galaxy Z Fold series. Which also means there should be a cover display on the outside, for fold-free phone use, should you ever need it.
The folding screen is expected to be somewhere around 10-inches in size, while the cover display is said to be around 6.5-inches. The phone will also presumably be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, with either 12 or 16GB of RAM and a minimum of 256GB of storage.
There has been some speculation that the hinges could be the same thin, durable ones seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 — which would certainly be an advantage since that's our pick for the best foldable phone. Sadly, leaked documentation out of China suggests that the charging speed is going to be pretty weak — just 25W.

We're just going to have to wait and see what happens going forward, and hope that the official launch date isn't that far away.
