Nvidia's RTX 50 SUPER GPUs now 'most likely' to launch in March at the earliest — what we know

If you've been waiting for Nvidia's rumored RTX 50 SUPER GPUs to launch over the next few months, you may have to wait a while longer than expected. As in, after CES 2026.
Nvidia's highly anticipated RTX 5080 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER and RTX 5070 SUPER GPUs are now "most likely" to arrive between March and May in 2026, according to tech site Benchlife. This is due to industry insiders stating that AIC partners (manufacturers) have yet to receive project notices for the Nvidia RTX 50 SUPER graphics cards.
This means a specific launch time can't be given, as these partners need this project notification to land on a more accurate release time. If this is the case, then it makes sense that we'll see Team Green's upgraded GPUs launch a little later in 2026, seeing as the cards don't appear to be in development currently.
Rumors of Nvidia's upgraded GPUs have been swirling, despite these cards not being officially announced. They were first thought to arrive before the end of the year, with leakers recently noting a "delay" in when the graphics cards will launch. However, several reports also suggested Nvidia didn't plan on releasing its next RTX 50 SUPER series before the end of 2025.
Previously, industry insiders suggested they expect the cards to at least be revealed during CES 2026, which may still be the case (seeing as this is when Nvidia announced its RTX 50-series GPUs at CES 2025).
That said, we've heard that sources speaking to Wccftech claim that Nvidia's RTX 50-series GPUs are still in full-cycle, and that they may not even show up during the big tech event in January.
In any case, the launch of Nvidia RTX 50 SUPER GPUs is still up in the air. At the very least, we may see these GPUs in March at the earliest, if the expectation proves accurate. Plus, we have an idea of what to expect from them.

GPU | RTX 5080 SUPER | RTX 5080 | RTX 5070 Ti SUPER | RTX 5070 Ti | RTX 5070 SUPER | RTX 5070 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Price | $999-1,199 | $999 | $749-$799 | $749 | $549-$599 | $549 |
CUDA Cores | 10752 | 10752 | 8960 | 8960 | 6400 | 6144 |
Video Memory | 24GB GDDR7 | 16GB GDDR7 | 24GB GDDR7 | 16GB GDDR7 | 18GB GDDR7 | 12GB GDDR7 |
TGP | 415 Watts | 360 Watts | 350 Watts | 300 Watts | 275 Watts | 250 Watts |
According to rumors, we can expect a boost in VRAM from the RTX SUPER 5080, 5070 Ti and 5070 GPUs, up to a whopping 24GB of GDDR7 video memory for the 5080 and 5070 Ti and a welcome 18GB of VRAM for the 5070. That also means an increase in TGP for an uplift in power, which all translates to being able to handle demanding PC games, 3D graphics and more.
Hopefully, we won't see a huge increase in prices for these rumored GPUs either, with only a possible $50 difference in the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER at $749 and RTX 5070 SUPER at $549, if rumors ring true.
While it may be a while until we finally get our hands on Nvidia's RTX 50 SUPER GPUs, we may see other chips from Team Green arrive down the line, including the Nvidia N1X CPU and its newly announced Intel x86 RTX SoCs.
