The Nets vs 76ers game will begin today at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT, today (Saturday, February 6).
The game airs on NBA League Pass, in Philadelphia on NBC Sports Philadelphia and to New York on the YES Network.
It's time for the Nets vs 76ers live stream that sees the two top Eastern Conference teams colliding for the first time since Brooklyn’s addition of James Harden. These two teams faced each a month ago and the Sixers have a lot to improve upon if they want a different outcome in this NBA live stream. But we've had a busy 24 hours, so let's catch up.
On January 7th, the Sixers took a full and healthy roster to Brooklyn to face a Nets team that was missing Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and had yet to acquire former NBA MVP, James Harden. The Sixers lost, 122-109. Joe Harris came off the bench to drop a game high 28 points to help hand Philly one of their toughest losses of the season.
This time around the Nets will have two of their three stars when they visit Philly. Irving is back from his seven-game hiatus and averaging just under 30 points per game. Harden is averaging a double-double in his nine games with the Nets with 24ppg and an NBA leading 11.2 assists per game. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant will reportedly miss his second straight meeting with the Sixers and fifth game overall due to COVID contact tracing.
The Nets’ Friday night loss to the Raptors was nothing short of crazy. Durant was taken out of the team’s starting line-up. Then he was allowed to play later in the first quarter, only to be removed from the game for good in the third. This was a result of COVID-19 contact tracing.
According to a statement by the NBA via Shams Charania of the Athletic, “[Durant] interacted with someone who had an inconclusive test return shortly before the game....During the game, a positive result was returned for the person Durant interacted with. Once that test was confirmed, out of an abundance of caution, Durant was removed from the game.” The league also confirmed Durant himself tested negative three times over a 24 hour span.
The Sixers are coming off a tough loss to a Damian Lillard-less Blazers team. One saving grace for the Sixers in the loss was Joel Embiid’s 37pts. Embiid is the main reason Philadelphia (16-7) is in first place in the East. The Sixers big man is right behind Durant in scoring for third in the NBA with 29.1ppg. Ben Simmons did not play Thursday night due to a calf injury and is listed as day-to-day.
