Three new colors rumored for the iPhone 18 — here’s what you could get
When Apple debuted the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max earlier this year the Cupertino giant introduced a surprisingly bold new cosmic orange color. And it appears the trend of interesting colorways will continue with the iPhone 18 Pro models in 2026.
Regular tipster Digital Chat Station posted on the Chinese social media site Weibo hinting that the iPhone 18 Pro would be available in brown, purple, and burgundy.
Depending on what translator you use, Digital Chat Station's message uses more specific color names like coffee brown and wine red. Google Translate gave me brown, purple, and burgundy.
Now, on the whole DCS is a fairly accurate so we're inclined to believe this rumor. At the same time, the iPhone 17 series is only a couple of months old, and Apple could change its plans between now and next September.
Interestingly, DCS also claims that there will be no black model of the iPhone 18 Pro. A similar rumor about the iPhone 17 Pro models appeared right before Apple's "Awe Dropping" debut event, which turned out to be true.
Currently the iPhone 17 Pro comes in cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver. For the first time in years, the higher-end models are not available in either black or space gray shades.
This is quite early for color rumors, so I don't expect any more to drop until next summer. In the meantime, the cosmic orange iPhone 17 Pro is fairly bold, even if it may or may not be turning pink.
