At the start of the season, most EPL viewers would not have believed come mid-October that Fulham vs Bournemouth would be a battle of 9th against 8th. These two sides were both in the Championship last season but have in general looked at home in the Premier League. Fulham started the season in good form with two wins and two draws in their first five fixtures but have struggled slightly in recent weeks, playing particularly poorly in a 4-1 loss at home to Newcastle. Manager Fabio Silva will be desperate to see the return of star striker Alexander Mitrovic as he looks set to return from an ankle injury. Despite their current top-half position, Fulham’s expectations this season likely won’t stretch beyond avoiding relegation.

Bournemouth have had a more dramatic season than most so far, making the first managerial change of the season after a 9-0 loss to Liverpool. After coming second to Fulham in last season’s Championship, Bournemouth’s lack of investment didn’t fill many with confidence and many tipped them as near certs for relegation. Interim manager Gary O’Neil clearly wasn’t listening and is now unbeaten in five, with two wins and three draws. Some much improved defensive organization and quality from the likes of Phillip Billing and Dominic Solanke now has them bordering on the European places. Again, like Fulham their priority will be to stay up, but if Gary O’Neil takes the job permanently, perhaps this could be a season to remember for the Cherries.

The last time these two sides met (in the championship in April), Bournemouth scored a 98th-minute equalizer from the penalty spot. If this game is anyway near as dramatic as that then the Fulham vs Bournemouth live stream will be a great watch full of tension.
